You may be a vampire, the one to rule them all in fact. A creature of the night that once thirsted for blood, perhaps still does. An immortal being untouched by time and death and life. You barely set foot on solid ground, preferring to float and hover and soar instead. Your hair also disobeys the law of gravity almost more than your body, it snakes and glides as if it possesses a life separate to yours. Your skin almost glows, as do your eyes.
And grod, those eyes...
They are never the same. I have seen red, deeper than the vast water surrounding my land. I have seen yellow, lighter than the swell of flowers that pop up in spring. I have seen every color in between. I fear the day I am ever asked to describe your eye colour, for I will stumble and catch on my own words. The best I could do was say those colors are ever-changing, the only part of you that does change.
No, forgive me, that is a lie. Your face changes. Or rather, the flush of your skin changes. I know because I have caused it, I have caused the slight color to perfectly dust your cheeks. It doesn't take much effort, considering you are the ruthless Vampire Queen and I am the sweet candy princess of the sweet Candy Kingdom.
Although I have seen your fangs, and your many faces and the fear you strike into others. I have also seen your flaws.
And those flaws, they make me question you. They make me question what you truly are. But of course I know, my scientific mind cannot deny you are in fact a vampire, for we all know this. Though, your flaws suggest differently.
The way you sometimes struggle with your words, and look anywhere but at me until you find the words you want to use. The way you hide your face in a black mane of hair until your blushing subsides. The way you explain your thoughts to me, and I can see your face contort, scared of my reaction, but it disappears when I agree and you grin that huge grin.
Your flaws are my favorite thing about you. And it is those same flaws, and many more that I love oh so dearly, that make me question what you are. For your claws and your skills and your words let me know you are a vampire, but your flaws.
They lead me to believe you are human, though you believe you are a monster.
Okay, so this is amazingly short. But I wanted to experiment with a first person point of view, I'm really not good at it and want to get better. Any thoughts/tips would be amazing.
Thank you for reading.
