I haven't written anything in way, way too long and instead of doing my English Coursework that I have to hand in tomorrow, I've decided to post this short one-shot. As you can see, I celarly can my priorities sorted. Anyhows, enjoy...
Disclaimer: I own nothing except some choccie that's still left over from Easter. Yum.
Remus sluggishly entered the kitchen of Grimmauld Place. He had just spent five hours with Alastor Moody chasing a dark hooded figure through miles and miles of farm land. As it turned out, the hooded figure was nothing more than the local Muggle farmer out looking for his lost sheep. Mad Eye was known for his extreme paranoia and even the usually patient Remus had been on the verge of making sure that he would be needing another fake eye very soon.
As he entered the dingy kitchen his eyes saw a young orange-haired witch sitting at the large kitchen table. She appeared to be engrossed in eating some kind of chocolate bar. Remus' eyes began to sparkle with mischief. If anything could cheer him up after patrol, it was chocolate. He sidled over to the old and worn table and took a seat across from Tonks.
Tonks, disturbed by the sudden commotion dropped her chocolate onto the table and instinctively clenched her hand more tightly around her wand.
"Bloody Hell Remus. You scared me there. You're lucky I didn't hex you! Constant Vigilance and all that…" Tonks muttered.
"Please don't mention those words…," Remus winced.
"Ahh, right, you had the pleasure of patrolling with dear old Alastor. How'd that go by the way?" Tonks had a smile playing at her lips, she tried to conceal the laughter that was threatening to erupt from her lips.
"Oh, absolutely peachy," Remus replied wearily. He kept his eyes on her chocolate, lying abandoned on the kitchen table. Words could not describe how much he wanted to snatch it up and gulp it down. His wolfish senses were kicking in and his impressive sense of smell filled his nose with the overpowering scent of chocolate.
This did not go unnoticed by Tonks, she had realised what Remus had his eye on, and to her dismay it wasn't her. But that didn't mean that she couldn't have a little fun she thought.
Tonks reached down for her chocolate and brought it to her mouth. She took a small bit of the creamy brown solid and closed her eyes slightly as she chewed. She was completely aware of Remus watching her with wide eyes and she saw him making a gulping movement within his throat. Impressed with her effect on him, she continued to take another bite. She knew that he wanted that chocolate more than anything, but she wanted him more than anything. She couldn't have what she wanted and so now, neither could he.
Her eyes sparkled mischievously. Remus didn't know what he wanted more. Tonks? The chocolate? Tonks covered in chocolate? That last thought made him squirm. 'Keep a hold on yourself Remus,' he thought to himself.
Tonks was immensely enjoying Remus' reaction. ' Mmm, this chocolate is great Remus.' She smiled sweetly at him. ' Would you like a bit?' She looked him straight into his eyes with a challenging twinkle in her own. Remus smiled back weakly. 'Well, it does look very tasty, and it smells good too.'
Tonks, trying to bite back her laughter, broke off a piece of the chocolate and gave it to the tired man in front of her. He really had no clue what she was getting at. But then, he was tired and drained. She would just have to forgive him.
