A/N: Hehe...this is something I wrote for blucladhero on tumblr a while ago...He roleplays Leo and was having issues (IRL) making eggs...then he mentioned something else he did once when I started teasing him...and this happened.
Disclaimer: I own most of the dialogue. This situation is based on something Blueclad did, the hammer in the kitchen is based of FantasiaWandering's "Falling", and the characters are from Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird.
Leo groaned as he searched the cabinets for nonstick spray. He knew his youngest brother had a "unique" way of organizing, but this was kind of—
Hammer. Of course. Donnie needed to quit working while eating.
Ah, here it was!
…The nonstick spray was in a yellow cylinder, right? He had seen Mikey spraying from something that looked like this…
Yeah, it had to be the nonstick spray. What else would Mikey spray on something he cooked with?
Now that he had his supplies, Leo cracked several of the eggs from their carton into a bowl and started whipping at the yolks with a fork. This wasn't hard…
Then again, the stove wasn't on yet. That's usually where things went wrong. He had screwed up with the stove in every way you could possibly think of, plus some.
He just didn't have good cooking luck…
Leo shrugged to himself and sprayed the inside of his pan before pouring the egg in. He put his hand on the dial to turn the stove on and hesitated. Maybe he should've waited for one of the others to get up first?
Well, too late now. Besides, if he stopped now, he never would be able to prove that he was more than just a disaster in the kitchen!
He quickly turned the knob to "lite" and waited for the flame to appear before turning it on medium power. How hard could scrambled eggs be?
"Uh oh, Leo's cookin'!" The oldest tried not to say anything in response to his baby brother's jab, but it did sting a little.
Leo didn't even bother turning towards the younger turtle while he started mixing the egg with his spatula. "Good morning to you, too, Michelangelo."[1] Didn't the spray usually bubble? Maybe the heat was too low…What was that smell?
"Sorry, bro, I couldn't resist. It's just kind of surprising to see you at the stove without something burning."
Leo didn't respond this time, and this time just continued using the spatula to mess with the eggs. It was too early for this, and he didn't want to start the day mad at his sweetest of brothers.
Just keep a stiff upper lip and pretend it didn't bother him…
While Leo worked with the eggs, Mikey picked up the spray Leo had used and examined it closely.
"Uh…Leo…Is this the spray you used?"
Leo glanced up for a moment to see what the orange-banded turtle was talking about and gave a nod before grabbing a piece of egg to sample.
"This is the spray I use to clean the pan if anything got stuck in i.t."
The others soon came in to the sight of Leo trying to spit something out while Mikey tried not to laugh.
Perhaps it was better not to know…
[1] Anyone else notice how Leo is the only one of the turtles that calls his brothers by their real names on a regular basis?
A/N: So he didn't use nonstick spray. It's a cleaner thing. I forget exactly what Blueclad had put on, but I do know it was some sort of cleaning product and it mad him sick later.
Oh, and Leo, tasting the eggs if you're not sure if they're done yet...another no-no.
Least he didn't get a pan on his head again... XD
