Disclaimer: I'm just a sad fan wishing she were the great Misashi Kishimoto. Oh how life is so unfair… -sniffle-

Warning: This is my second attempt at a story… The first one I didn't like. Maybe if I get reviews I'll think it's worth my time.

It was because his teammate was weak that he would stand in front of her when attacks where thrown at her.

It was because his teammate was weak that his life would be at risk for her's.

It was because his teammate was weak that he would become stronger.

It was because his teammate was weak that his ambitions were closer than he would ever think of if she hadn't existed.

Sasuke glared at the target he was using for shuriken. All were hitting the middle of the target, pushing the one that was in it's place before it was out of the way. It was his daily routine to be out here in the freezing cold, snow still falling down, trying to coat his shoulders in white.

"Sasuke-kun!" A surprised voice gasped upon seeing him. "What are you doing out here in the freezing cold?"

"Training." He grunted, throwing more shuriken at the tree.

"Demo! You'll get sick..!" The girl tried to reason, starting to sound worried.

"I'm fine. Go home."

His muscles then froze, and a blackness tried to reach his vision. Searing pain emitted from his shoulder and he bent down, holding onto it tightly.

"Sasuke-kun!"

Sasuke tried to get out he was fine, but the pain proved too much, and he could groan in the emitted waves.

But Sakura picked him up, emitting her own chakra waves, and held onto him tightly so she wouldn't drop him. Her face was of a blender. Feelings so mixed, you couldn't tell what was what.

"I… I'm fine… S-Sakura."

She grunted in response, starting to make him walk away from the training grounds. He had, unfortunately, noticed the determination and worry shine in her eyes.

"Why didn't you say the pain came back?" She asked lowly, not looking at him.

"..."

"Sasuke-kun… You are weak like this. You mustn't get to this stage anymore. If you ever feel pain like this, come to me… Or even Tsunade-sama!"

Sasuke looked back up at her, his brain not registering what she was saying. His legs had gone limp long ago, but he wasn't really listening, just partially.

Because… I am weak. I have to protect you, Sakura, you and Naruto-baka both. So why is it I'm the one who's weak..?

A/N: Okay… If I get reviews I'll continue this one. Sorry I deleted the last one. No one reviewed and I didn't think it was worth my time to write what people wouldn't like enough to comment about. Sorry.
