"It doesn't matter!" The man shouted angrily, before taking a swig from the large bottle of liquor he held in his hand. "Even if the pictures are fake! I can't take it anymore!"
He turned away from the child, and toward the TV, which displayed the BP Oil Company's recent accident. "Do you have any idea what a curse it is, to have perfect 20/20 hindsight?!" The man took another swig, stumbling slightly, as the movement of his arms put him slightly off balance. His voice slurred with his words. "As soon as something bad happens, I immidiately know how it could have been avoided! I can't take it anymore!"

The child, who had been standing not too far away from the intoxicated man, let out a frustrated sigh, and rolled his eyes. "People need you, Hindsight. Without you, they feel helpless, and stup-"

"Well, I don't want the power anymore, alright?!" Hindsight spun around and raised his already shouting tone toward the other superhero.

"You think your power's a curse?!" The child dressed in black and purple sent a masked glare in the taller male's direction, obviously irritated that he had been interrupted. "Let me tell you something about curses, because there are some superpowers that make yours look like nothing!" Suddenly, his glare faded, and he sent a sorrowful glance down at the ground. His arm, which had been pointed at the man in yellow, suddenly fell at his own side. His voice softened. "Trust me...I know."

The man was quiet for several moments, as he observed the child from where he stood. His drunken body swayed slightly, as he tried to focus on staring and standing up. As his lips moved, he stumbled over his words. "What-...w-what is your power?"

Mysterion's head slowly raised, this time, a soft glare rested upon the interrigator. His blue eyes shined with so many emotions... it was hard to keep track of how many there were. He let out a slow breath.
"I can't die."

The child waited for the man's reaction. A reply. But when Hindsight had remained quiet, eyes wide with disbelief, Mysterion continued.

"I've experienced death. Countless times. Sometimes I see a bright light... sometimes I see Heaven, or Hell. But eventually, I wake up in my bed, wearing my same old clothes..."
He took a few step backwards, before turning away from the man. He sent his lapis-hued gaze back down at the ground. "A-And the worst part...is that nobody even remembers me dying. I show up at school the next day...and everyone is like, 'Oh, hey Kenny!'...even if they had seen me get decapitated with their own eyes."

Mysterion turned again, and his glare deepened, as he looked at the drunken superhero straight in the eyes.

"You wanna whine about curses, Hindsight?" Mysterion asked. "You're talking to the wrong fucking cowboy."

One of my favorite scenes from the "Coon And Friends Trilogy". Mysterion is my favorite out of all of them. 3 Hope you enjoyed!
