What if they didn't get married. What if they just stopped all of a sudden. What if they never made up.

Days passed.. weeks passed.. soon, graduation.

Chapter 1

Landon continued to go to school regularly, hang out, sleep. all the normal things that people do. but it was too normal for Landon. After finding out about her cancer, he found out something else too. and he's been regretting the fact since.

How can i have done that? how can he?.. Landon had no clue why he and Jamie are just friends now. or even something worse: just other people. It was that day, when she came over to explain her behaviour when she told him about her case. Landon excepted it in his heart but he didnt know why, he just didnt show it. That day, he told her that this was too much and they just.. stopped. Stopped everything between them. Just like that.

Days passed.. weeks passed.. soon, graduation.

They haven't really meet in the period between that. They would see each other in the hallway but that was it. Sometimes, knowing that they were in the same room, they wouldn't even look at the other. Although, Landon didn't go back to his old ways. Jamie did change him with her faith, her example. Those things have great impact on others when they really look deeply into it. How pure and how faithful Jamie was, it changed Ladon. There was more to things he had done before. There was more to Life. Landon and Jamie both weren't in any relationships after that. Jamie stayed committed to her father's rule and Landon just.. didn't.

Remember i told you it would soon be graduation?

Gradution:

It was graduation day. Yesss for some people, for others it was a sad good-bye. Ladon was one of those people. He never forgot about Jamie since. She was a VERY big impact. Soon, the ceremony was over and everyone was outside taking pictures on this beautiful day. Ex-mrs. Carter joined her son outside after talking to other parents and teachers. She saw her son disappointed with something and opened up her mouth to say, "I'm sorry your father couldn't be here today. He--" "It doesn't matter mom. It's not like I wanted him to come. Why should he?" He interrupted.[Landon and his Dad didn't really make up. Landon is still mad at him.] He turned away and set his eyes on Jamie somehow. She was a few yards away talking to some people. "It's really sad." Landon's mother said when she realized he was looking at her. "What is?" He asked even though he didn't want to talk about her. He was curious. "The reverend will sure be lonely with his only daughter away. With his wife passing away and all." At the moment she finished her sentence Landon turned his towards his mom so quickly that it made her jump, not literally though. "What?! Jamie's going? Away?!" He bursted out in shock. Why was she leaving? Why is she doing this? "Calm down Landon," Mrs.Carter reassured. "What's wrong?" She asked. Landon just shook his head and told her to meet at home and turned to walk away. He saw that Jamie was about to leave too and hurried towards her.

"Jamie!" He yelled at her, not very loud. She was about to get in the car when he reached her. "Jamie, can I give you a ride home?" He asked rather in a hurry. She looked at him and was confused. "What for, Carter?" The reverend was waiting in the car. "I gotta talk to you, please?" Jamie thought for a moment and turned towards the car. 'No, I gotta talk to you Jamie' Landon thought. She opened the passenger door. Surprisingly, she placed her gown which she was holding on the seat. "Dad, Landon's gonna give me ride home, kay?" The reverend was going to refuse and debate with her but he didn't see the point in it. He nodded as she closed shut the door and stepped backwards so that the car can get moving. "So, shall we?" Landon asked.

Somehow, Jamie was uncomfortable in his car. It wasn't the seat or how she sat. It was same for Landon too even though it was his car. For the first few minutes, there was silence. Then, "So, what did you want to talk to me about?" She rather had it over with. Landon took a deep breath and sighed. "Is it true?" He asked. He was hoping a no. "Depends on what you heard." She simply said, although she was nervous on the inside as he was . This was what was different about Jamie. Instead of "What do you mean is it true?" she would say that.

"That your leaving.."

"Oh, yeah." She looked down unto her hands which were place on her lap. "Where to?!" He didn't believe it. At least, he didn't want to. "Virginia. For school. You know what i want to study." There was silence again. "Well, thanks. Bye." With that, she left the car and walked to the front door of her house. Her hands on the knob, she stopped before she turned it open. She turned her head a little so that she can see Landon in the corner of her eye. With that last sight, she opened the door and walked inside.
