PROLOGUE
I'd always been the good girl.
I got the grades, I volunteered and I became a vegetarian; I was a scout and helped old people cross the road and carried their groceries; I had a clean record, if you don' count the strange anomalies of killing one or two people. Then again, that was all in self-defence and occasionally for self-preservation.
This was by far the craziest thing I had ever done and that was proven with my first three mistakes. Along with three stupid – very stupid things about this plan.
First mistake was skipping college; I was basically abandoning Elena, regardless of her telling me it was okay. Second mistake was giving up on Tyler. Then again, he hadn't exactly been trying to keep in touch with me. Third mistake was lying to mum about it; she just had to believe that I was still doing the right thing. I knew that she would freak if she knew that rather than getting an education, I would be running off to the other side of the country to meet up with the very person that terrorised her town. I knew that she wouldn't understand because even I didn't understand it.
This was why, I now swerved the car, parking it on the side of the road and switched off the engine. My hands rested on the steering wheel as I tried to take a deep calming breath. However, this only lasted for a second as the new Ford Fiesta.
The cool whipping breeze made me take a deep breath while my arms were now wrapped around my shivering form. I fell back on the side of the car and stared down at what was supposed to be the French Quarter. From the pictures and articles I'd seen on the internet, it wasn't 'buzzing with life'. Why wasn't it buzzing with life? Why was it so empty and quiet?
It was like a ghost town and kinda creepy. Plus, I couldn't even buy a coffee and sit and think because all the shops were darkened and the lights were off.
Well, now I was faced with town possible options; I could turn the car around and g0 share a small, cramped dorm room with Elena. Either that, or I could call him…
Another sigh left me as I ducked my head to reach for my phone. However, before I could grab it, something grabbed me; more specifically, it was a cold gloved hand clamping over my mouth, making me swallow the readied scream. Then, it was replaced with a black bag over my head, covering my eyes as I was pulled further into the night.
I knew this wasn't a good idea.
A/N: Haven't done a Caroline and Klaus pairing before so please be gentle. Thanks for taking the time to check this out.
QUESTION: Who has kidnapped our favourite cheerleader? Who will come to her rescue?
