Disclaimer: Unfortunately, I do not own "The Outsiders" or any of the Curtis' Gang. Sigh. The real owner of "The Outsiders" is my favorite author, the fabulous S.E. Hinton. I also do not make a profit from the stories that I write here on this site. I don't own Whiskey Lullaby.

A/N: Apparently songfic a are illegal, so this is lyric free, which I'm kinda ticked about. Please look up the lyrics so this story makes sense. Every X is a new stanza.

"What is it Sandy? What is he that I'm not?" Sodapop screamed desperately.

"Everything," she yelled out through her tears.

X

Soda went to Bucks and ordered the hardest thing he had. He drank and drank, but it still hurt.

He started to dance with a blond, but she started to look like Sandy. Next thing he knew he was being thrown out of Bucks, so he just moved on to a new bar.

When he fled town, rumors flew that he was dodging the draft, but he was really dodging her memory.

X

Soda was found on August 17 on a ungodly hot day, bleeding from his head. Died of a broken heart, some say. Pony found the note and in it was the confession that he never forgot Sandy, but he was forgetting her now. He still loves her.

X

Sandy lost everything, Soda was gone, her boyfriend her promised her everything fled and she even lost the baby from the alcohol.

"I want Soda," she told the bartender one night.

"You want some sodapop ma'am?" He asked, but she stubbornly shook her head and repeated herself. The bartender knew she was drunk so he tried to get her to drink something non-alcoholic, but she wanted whiskey. She hadn't forgotten yet.

She didn't know how to cope, it just hurt her so much. She just drank and drank until one night she decided to act.

X

She shakily pulled out a gun and went into one of Bucks' rooms that Soda stayed in for a while.

She took one last drink of the bottle of whiskey before smashing it again the wall. She held on to Soda's picture as she pulled the trigger.

You are only born with a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it.

A/N: Again, apologies. I might just take this down in general, it doesn't make sense without the lyrics. Please review.
