Looking After You
"If I don't say this now I will surely break," Alex started, smiling over to Paige as she types one of Mrs. Simpson's assignments out on the computer, "As I'm leaving the one I want to take."
Paige leaned over and whispered to Alex, "What the heck are you doing, Alex?"
Alex grinned, pushing her seat more over so she could whisper into Paige's ear, "Forgive the urgency but hurry up and wait, my heart has started to separate" Alex felt Paige sigh out a bit. It was a rare wonder when Alex would sing to her and she decided to, of all times, in the middle of class.
"There now, steady love, so few come and don't go, will you won't you, be the one I always know, when I'm losing my control, the city spins around, you're the only one who knows, you slow it down." She smiled sweetly as Paige turned back to her computer, acting as if her wondrous girlfriend was not singing to her. "Oh, oh, baby, baby, Ohhhhhh, Oh, oh, baby, baby, I'll look after you"
Paige turned around once Mr. S's back was turned away from her, and kisses Alex's shoulder gently, placing her hand on her shoulder lightly as she turned back, fighting back the sweet tears of that exact song.
Another rare occasion Alex had taken Paige to a small dance room in town. The song had come on, and Alex drifted Paige onto the ballroom floor. Alex was being so very sweet that night. Even took Paige to a nice restaurant on what little money she did have from her small paying theater job.
On the floor, Alex had smiled at Paige so sweetly, their breath intermingling, their scents dangling around them as their body swayed sync with one another. This song played as they confessed how much they loved each other. Their eyes sparkling, lips meshing to take the buzzing noises fluttering around in each others hearts. Alex had been the one to sweep Paige off her feet so casually. She understood her, and Paige actually cared about Alex, completely. Alex had never had that in her life. And Paige had always been looking for someone to complete the puzzle that Matt, Dean, and Spinner had taken pieces away from.
Paige broke from her thoughts and continued her assignment, letting her memory wash over her. Her eyes filled with happy tears as she heard Alex in her relentless singing. Singing their song. "If ever there was a doubt, my love she leans into me, this most assuredly counts, she says most assuredly."
"It's always have and never hold, you've begun to feel like home!" She shouts out the last line, and catches Mr. Simpson's wrath. He sends her out into the hallway until he's done lecturing.
"Mr. Simpson!" Paige shouted, wiggling in her chair. "I really need to go to the girls washroom!" She blurts, in front of everyone.
"Can it wait Paige?"
"No, female problem alert crept up on me!" She said excitedly as he motioned her to hurry.
She ran out the door, and saw Alex standing with her back pressed against the glass window. Alex's face brightened up as she saw Paige walking over to her, her eyes dazzling and biting her bottom lip. She quickly kissed Alex's cheek and walked on to the bathroom before Mr. Simpson could come out there to check on Alex.
