Dear Lord

I cannot stop thinking about the Christians in Iraq, not that there are going to be any left now. They've had their homes ripped away from them, but not their faith and that I am thankful for. The Christian history of Iraq has been destroyed, with every church being destroyed. This is where the first Christians lived the Assyrians, the Chaldeans they have nothing left, I know it doesn't seem like much to the world but it is everything to minority who are Christians in the middle east. It saddens that this country has just been completely destroyed by Dai3sh, where every church has been converted into a mosque. It angers me that these Christians cannot practice their faith or just live a normal life. I know that there is a reason for this suffering, I'm not sure what it is Lord but I'm sure you will save these people. I know that their are other religious groups and civilians being perescuted as well, this repetition of history has to stop.

I am thankful however that world has come to aid these Iraqis and that countries like Australia are opening their doors to Yazedis (another religious sect that is being ostracised) and Christians. The Iraqi archbishop is brave and a true inspiration for the Christians.

I also pray that you bring light to those that are so filled with so much hatred and who are committing all these horrible.

I mostly pray for solidarity amongst all religions in the Middle East.

Amen

A/N: I know that this isn't a story and is a prayer about a very sensitive topic; I don't want to start arguments with anyone I'm sure many people have different opinions at the issues but this just my prayer and my thoughts. I hope I don't offend anyone.
