Troy Bolton believes in the extraordinary

This is just to unload out some stress about school, work, and some of my friends. Our group is sort of breaking apart. This has been in my head for two days. Review if you like.

Ordinary and imperfection is what makes us human, but don't we live for the extraordinary?

Extraordinary

Troy Bolton believes in the extraordinary.

He'd like to believe in God, and the magic of shooting stars and all the legends his mum read to him when he was only four years old.

But now, he's seventeen, God doesn't answer his prayers, the skies in Albuquerque are too cloudy to see the sparkling stars, and his mother is too tired and stressed to read to him anymore.

Still, he's waiting, longing, achingly, for the day; the extraordinary will come back into his life.

Extraordinary

There are two girls in his life, the most important girls in his life. One of them is the resident Ice Queen of East High and the other is the girl he met on that skiing trip in Colorado who won over the heart of every soul at East High.

East High's Ice Queen.

East High's Sweetheart.

Extraordinary

Sharpay Evans smiles at him. She's finally come out of her shell. He's finally been able to see who hides underneath all the music, and jazz, and glitter.

Surprisingly, it's a normal person. Her golden locks are replaced by darker, drabber and more natural brown hair because she doesn't dye her hair any longer. Her eyes are brighter with all the mascara and liner washed away, and her cheeks are a fresh rosy pink.

She doesn't want to wear any jewellery anymore because she figures, "I'm normal. So are you. Why should I wear something to prove myself?"

And that's the new Sharpay Evans. The ordinary, easy-going, carefree one.

Extraordinary

But Gabriella, he's not sure whether her shell is broken or not.

Troy thinks that after all that had happened with Twinkle Towne and the summer; she'd be the most happy, normal person; that he could speak to, freely and easily, instead of piecing together carefully what she should say and when. Just like the first time he met her. Should he have kissed her? Should he have asked her where she lived sooner? So much mystery in such a sweet little girl.

Her eyes are sparkling under dark mascara, her hair is curled to an imperfect perfection, and her lips are glossed and perfect.

Every pieced together accessory is thrown together in an amazing, stunning combination.

"This is me. This is who I am. I'm extraordinary," she smiles to Troy when he asks her why she wears all that jewellery.

Extraordinary

Most of all, Sharpay smells fresh. Like a crisp, clear, spring morning. She smells like soap and bright flowers. Troy walks up to her and he wants to kiss her forehead and laugh with her all over again, and talk, and talk.

Extraordinary

And above all, Gabriella moves in a cloud of perfume. When Troy calls her over, she walks casually across the busy paths of East High, right up to him and he can smell her musky, heavy, scent. It has him feeling drunk and heavy, and intoxicated and he just wants to kiss her glossed lips slowly and softly.

Extraordinary

As Troy watches the two beautiful girls walk down the hallways, one of them shines and shimmers through the dreary floors and drab wallpaper.

Extraordinary is back in Troy Bolton's life.

And that's it.
