When Cas said he wanted a dog, Dean didn't think he meant a rat that barked. He was looking at the puppy that Cas desired for their anniversary and he had already refused point blank. But Castiel refused to relent his case for one: "But they're sooo cute." And Dean gave his usual retort: "I refuse to buy anything Paris Hilton deems 'worthy.'"

"But Dean... How can you deny that face?" Asked Cas, pointing at the chihuahua. "It's so small and adorable..."

"That's the point. I don't want something small and adorable - I already have you" Dean smirked, hoping the line was enough to prove his point.

"You're flattering me." Smirked Cas. "But I still want the chihuahua."

"No, why Cas? I'm a hunter. I can't be seen with a dog smaller than my gun..."

"Dean, this dog is...is...it's portable. A big dog would be a bother." He argued

"But a big dog could at least help us on a case! I wouldn't have to worry about it getting attacked as easily...or stepped on." He added

Castiel pouted, knowing Dean thought it was cute when he pouted. "Can we at least go play with the puppies? Maybe you'll change your mind?" He pointed to the play pen that people can pick various puppies from.

Dean frowned. There was something about his boyfriend giving him puppy dog eyes in the middle of a friggin' pet store. 'It should be illegal,' he thought. "Fine..." He agreed

"Yay!" He kissed Deans cheek and ran over to the puppies and sat down in the pen, puppies lying around and playing. A couple jumped on him and he played with them until a little fluffy golden retriever flopped in his lap and laid down. Castiel's heart melted.

Dean followed Cas into the pen, careful to not step on any of the smaller dogs' tails. He looked at Cas as if to say 'See?'

Castiel made a face at Dean, petting the golden retriever who was now sleeping on him. "Maybe bigger dogs are better." He said nonchalantly.

He sat down next to Cas. "Really? What gives?" He asked, until he spotted the puppy in Castiels lap. "Oh.." He concluded softly

Castiel smiled softly at the golden retriever. "I like him. He cuddles."

"Better than me?" Dean smirked. He petted the top of the dogs head. "He's cute..."

"Cuter than me?" He mimicked and leaned his head on Deans shoulder "what should we name him?" He hummed. "How about Casper?"

"Why Casper?" Dean smiled, but even he had to admit the puppy in Castiel's lap was adorable. It was certain he was the one

"Because we hunt ghosts, but he's friendly." Castiel said, like it was obvious. Dean laughed and Kissed Cas on the cheek."We're getting this one." Dean happily agreed.
