Wishful Thinking
Manfred Bloor sat in his room in the huge Bloor's Academy.
He was eight years old and was thinking about yesterday_ his eighth birthday. Yesterday he had been tested_ like every year_ by his great grandfather Ezekiel. The only difference was that this year he had passed_ he had hypnotized his mother Dorothy De Vere Bloor. Ezekiel had congratulated him and given him a chocolate some hot chocolate for this but Manfred didn't understand any of it. Did it have to do with Ezekiel's strange experiments that Manfred was never allowed to see? Why did Ezekiel care about Manfred's new talent? Couldn't he just be normal? That was all he wanted now but it wasn't going to happen… was it? Could he be normal still? His eyes had always been unnerving but he could get colored contacts… and maybe there was some way to lose your magical talent.
"Yes I'll find a way" he said softly to himself smiling as he pulled himself under his covers and fell asleep. He dreamed of having friends and green contacts.
