I glared at the endless ocean and couldn't help but wondered how big the world out there is.

Hi, I'm Charlotte Anderson but most people just call me Charlie. You see, I have been a hunter of Artemis for a few years and since I had a way over protective mother I never to really see the world.

"CHARLIE!" Thalia Grace, our lieutenant, called me from the main tent. A wave of sadness washed over me as I remembered Zoe Nightshade. Zoe was the lieutenant before Thalia. She had died in the hands of her father, Atlas. I quickly snapped it together and picked up my pace toward the tent. In the tent all the hunters sat quietly in a circle with Artemis sitting cross legged in the middle. I wiggled in between Thalia and Phoebe and focused my attention on the moon goddess.

"As most of you know some mortals in the U.S are being brain washed and controlled by single voice."

I didn't know! I thought, frowning. "A note is always left at the home of each victim saying 'Join us and no harm will be done' and the family and friend of the victim are joining whoever this monster or villain or mortal is joining.

"And you want us to find this evil monster or whatever he is?" Thalia asked pounding her left fist against her right palm.

"Yes Thalia but whoever this is it is pretty powerful and we can't fight him alone." Artemis grinned and a tiny book probably about 2 inches long and an inch wide appeared in front of each hunter.

"Oh goodie a telephone book." I joked.

"Open it to page 51," said Artemis.

"Okay." I flipped to page 51 and the tiny telephone book morphed into a bow and arrow nearly stabbing Phoebe in the thigh.

"Watch it," growled Phoebe.

"Sorry," I apologized.

"Go get some rest girls we set at sun rise," Artemis ordered waving her hand in dismiss.
