Destiny
by Susan Zahn
Out
of the smoke
That threatened to choke,
He stepped into my
life.
With blaster in hand,
(Such a motley band!)
He
dared to help end my strife.
Handsome and
daring,
Sharp words hid his caring.
A Corellian right to
the core.
Chestnut brown hair,
And eyes that
ensnare,
With a smile I couldn't ignore.
He was cocky and
sure.
Could his motives be pure?
Even so, he stole my
heart.
But I deigned to wait
And that sealed our
fate.
From then on, I knew we'd not part.
In
time, he did change.
I saw his full range
And the extent
of his potential.
Now a general he be,
We've just started
child three,
And I've certainly got my hands full!
