Prologue
Screams rent through the night air. People were running hither and thither. Flames lit the sky and flashes of violet light could be seen. The little village of Skye was under attack! Elders of the village stood in their doorways and could only look on at the destruction. Nobody could stop what was going on no matter how they tried. It appeared that Lucretia Nightstorm and Lucus Firestorm had turned up in Skye. The evil duo was now terrorizing the little village. Why had they shown up? Who were they after? By the early morning hours the screams had ceased as had the bursts of violet light. Now the villagers worked to quell the fires.
"Everyone gather 'round" Elder Bartholemus called. The villagers gathered around the unblemished house of this elder. "Is there anybody missing from our midst?" The elder inquired.
"Yes, I am afraid to say" A villager replied.
"Who?" boomed Elder Batholemus's voice.
"The Lenin family" Came a reply.
Elder Bartholemus then ordered a couple of the villagers to go and check on the Lenin's. Within a few moments the villagers had returned carrying a large bundle of blankets.
"What news have you?" Elder Bartholemus asked.
"The Lenin grandparents are gone. The Lenin parents there is no sign of, but the Lenin child still lives" Announced a villager while gesturing the large bundle.
"Is the child injured?" Elder Bartholemus asked.
"A few scrapes, but mostly she is just frightened. "Someone replied.
"I'm afraid the child may not stay" Elder Bartholemus said gravely taking the bundle from the villager. "Apparently harm was wished upon this child and her family. Already we know her grandparents have been killed and who knows where her parents now are. So this child must be placed in the being world so that she will hopefully be safe." Elder Bartholemus finished his speech with great sadness. All the villagers now had tears in their eyes. The Lenin family had been greatly loved and respected. Now it seemed only one of the influential line lived. "I'm so sorry little one" Elder Bartholemus whispered to the now fitfully sleeping baby while tears silently streamed down his cheeks.
Later on when it was near sunrise Elder Bartholemus knocked on the door of the Tanzania home in the town of Inverness, Scotland. A very elderly woman answered the door in a matter of seconds. "What the blazes do you want at this hour?" She whispered. The woman took in this stranger's appearance. He stood on her doorstep in what looked like a dress to her with a fur cloak wrapped about him and in his arms a very large bundle.
"Madam, I hate to disturb you at such hour, but I must speak with you. It is very urgent and of the utmost importance." Elder Bartholemus told Ms. Tanzania.
"Alright, come in, but keep quiet. The children are all still sound asleep."
"Thank you madam." He replied as he stepped over the threshold of her home and disappeared inside.
