Pierre Dulaine.

To you, he was the closest thing to a father you knew you were ever gonna have.

Your real dad never cared about you, just your brother though you never noticed until after... He had always been sick, real sick, and when your brother was shot, he just got worse, he picked up a bottle and then the bitchin' and moanin' about Ray started and it still hasn't stopped. His complaints were loud, his words slurred, and his fists active.

Pierre Dulaine.

To you, he was a savior, the only one you could go to.

The only one you could ever trust. And when things went bad, you'd walk over to his apartment, and he would make everything right again. You would cry on his shoulder, defeated and broken by Life. He would whisper in your ear things that you never really heard, though his accented words worked like a salve that covered your wounds, healing them and flinging the pain so far away that it would become nothing but a distant memory.

And, with a press of your lips against his, you would say your thanks and walk out the door, ready to start again. And you know that he'll be waiting in his apartment, door always open, unitl either you or one of the others need to be repaired.

He tells you that it's okay to come to him, that you don't have to do what your doing, but where you're from, these things are the only way to properly thank someone.
