It was a lazy day in Forget-Me-Not Valley. Tim laid in bed, arms strewn, and a river of drool proceeding from his lip. However, the Inner Inn was packed with villagers waiting for the seasonal breakfast buffet. Suddenly, Ruby burst through the door.

"TIM!" the voice rocked the hotel. "What are you doing in bed? Three are customers out there!"

•Yawn• A groggy Tim sat up and scratched his head. "I'll be right out, dear."

"Alright hurry up," Ruby was calmed down considerably. "I'm going over to the Forget-Me-Not Farm later to talk with Celia and buy some vegetables." She shut the door.

Five minutes later, Tim walked into the lobby. The only word he could mutter was Whoa. Everyone was there! Nami, Galen, Nina, Chris, Wally, Hugh, Griffin, Muffy, Romana, Sebastian, Lumina, Vesta, Kassey, Patrick, Daryl, Carter, Flora, Gustafa, Dr. Hardy, Van, Marlin, Jack, Celia, and even Cody! They were all there! Finally, however, after two hours of small talk and good eats, the last patron left. "Phew, I'm getting' too old for this stuff." Tim leaned against the counter.

"Relax, I'll be back in half an hour." Ruby said, leaving the inn. "Behave yourself."

Just then, Rock came down the stairs. "Mornin' Dad." He said with a yawn.

"Where were you earlier at the breakfast?" Tim asked angrily.

"Umm…" Rock walked out the door. "See ya Dad." The door shut yet again.

Tim let out a long sigh. "Why can't I get off for five minutes?" he asked himself.

Suddenly, the door opened and in walked Doug.

"Doug! What are you doing way over here in the valley?" Tim asked.

"Just came over for a drink at the bar. Thought you might like to join me." Doug replied.

"I would love…" Tim's sentence trailed off.

"What is it?" Doug asked.

"I just never get a day off." Suddenly, an idea popped into Tim's head.

When Ruby returned later in the day, arms laden with baskets of tomatoes and carrots, she spied a note on the desk. She read aloud, "Ruby, out with Doug. Back in a while." Ruby set the produce down in the kitchen and sat down behind the front desk.

Two hours later, Tim stumbled in the door.

"Where were you?" Ruby demanded.

"At the bar with Doug." Tim replied drunkenly. "We had a great time. I need you to promise me something."

"What is that?" Ruby asked.

"If I ever ask for another day off," there was a bit of hesitation. "Say no."

Ruby laughed.
