Disclaimer: I don't own em'.

Hmmmmmmm, choices, choices. I'm not usually so indecisive, but put me in the middle of shelves of every candy imaginable and decisions become difficult. I have this theory about sugar being laced with nicotine, once you taste it you're hooked.

Candy isn't just food though…it's indicative. You can always tell something about a person by what candy they like.

Take Lana Lang for example. Every day during English she takes out a tiny bag of peanut M&Ms. Lana is just like that. She has a pretty, colorful shell that makes you look twice. After you get past the eye-catching exterior you get to the chocolate inside. Soft and melty, and very vulnerable to heat. Lana isn't faking that "damsel in distress" thing, it's really her. She has the soft, feminine thing down pat. I think it brings out primal instincts in men; they go into protective mode just being around her. But Lana isn't just mush, she has I hint of a surprising core. It showed when she got sprayed by the Nicodemus flower, that little wisp of a bad girl in disguise.

Not me though. With me, what you see is what you get. I'm much more of a Skittle. Skittles are kind of the outsiders in the candy aisle. They're tangy, not sweet. You won't find any melty chocolate in Skittle. When you bite into them you get a kick and a lot of chew. You don't really think to protect Skittles from heat, they're tough, they'll make it.

Clark though, Clark is different. Clark is the best candy of all, the pixie stick. He's pure sugar, through and through. When you put a pixie stick on your tongue, you have time to savor it. It fills your mouth with flavor and changes your tongue from pink to green or blue or some other unnatural shade, leaving you with this reminder that it was there. The sugary treat is always sure to lift your mood.

Suddenly I feel a pair of hands slide around me waist and someone press against my back.

"Chlo', you've spent more time deciding what candy you want than what career you wanted. If I knew that offering to buy you candy would have been such a huge decision, I would have just saved time and asked you to be the mother of my children"

I turned around to catch a smirk on his face.

"You're such a dork. I'm done though. Did you get something?"

"Yep, let's go before you change your mind," he said as he grabbed my hand and intertwined his fingers with mine.

That night, I made him share his skittles with me and my tongue was rainbow- colored for a week.
