The robot lay still on the fountain. He was doubting Kokichi. After Gonta was executed, he didn't know what to think. All he knew, was that he loved that boy.
Kiibo then heard Kokichi yelling across the courtyard. "Why don't you believe that I'm the mastermind?! I killed Kaede! Kirumi, Tenko, Gonta, Korekiyo, Ryoma, Miu, Rantaro, Angie, I killed them all! WHY WON'T YOU LISTEN?!" Kokichi appeared to be talking to Shuichi. He had gone around tying to convince everyone that he was the mastermind. Yeah right.
But all Shuichi did in response was mumble something before leaving.
"HEY! WE'RE NOT FINISHED TALKING UNTIL YOU BELIEVE ME!"
Kokichi turned his head and saw Kiibo. His eyes lit up at the sight of another being. "Kiibo!" He ran up and jumped in the fountain. "You believe I'm the mastermind, right?"
"No." Kiibo replied nonchalantly.
"Awwww, why not?!"
Kiibo So badly wanted I say that it was because he was too cute to be that evil. "Because..." Kiibo mumbled.
"Why are robots so smart?" Kokichi whispered.
"What?" Kiibo asked. Perhaps it was robophobic.
"I said, WHY ARE ROBOTS SO SMART?!" Kokichi yelled in Kiibo's face.
"Us robots can easily remember things. You dimwit human."
"Hmph." Kokichi huffed as he began kicking his legs.
The Ultimate Supreme Leader didn't like the awkward silence that followed the slight argument.
"Sooo... whatcha doing?"
"Reading a book. Isn't that obvious?"
"I'm a dimwit. Remember?" Kokichi simpered.
"Yeah." Kiibo smiled. Kokichi hadn't lost his comedic side.
They sat in silence as Kiibo thought about what happened the day before. "I have a question."
"Hm?"
"Why? Why'd you kill Gonta and Miu?"
"Oh..." Kokichi's smile dropped and he stopped kicking.
"Miu tried to kill me so I killed her. You were there. As for Gonta, I myself didn't want to die by Miu. So I got Gonta to do it. No matter what happened. I wouldn't let that slut kill me." Kokichi's rising smile faltered as he put his hand on his forehead. "I'm an asshole."
"Yeah. You killed two people."
"Nu-uh!"
"Technically, you did."
"..." Kokichi remained quiet.
"Kokichi?" Kiibo reached his hand out to touch Kokichi's shoulder.
"I'm fine!" Kokichi rose his head and smiled. His eyes glistened. Kiibo couldn't help but blush.
"..."
Kokichi put his hand to his arm. "Owwww..." He whined quietly.
"Are you okay?" If Kokichi was in pain, then Kiibo wanted to help. Sure, it was in his character, but this was Kokichi. The boy he fell in love with.
"Yeah, I'm fine! My arm's a little sore. That's all."
"From what?" Kiibo asked.
"Kaito. Y'know, he likes to slug me." Though Kokichi was an excellent liar, Kiibo could see right through it.
"Let me see." Kiibo reached out to inspect his crush's arm.
"No!" Kokichi yelped. "Er, no. It's f-fine!" Kokichi froze once he stuttered. He muttered a curse under his breath.
Kiibo made his move. He gripped Kokichi's hand and shoved his sleeve to reveal many cuts and bruises on his arms.
"H-Hey! Let go!" Kokichi cried out as tears appeared in the corners of his eyes.
It instantly clicked with the robot.
"Stop hurting yourself!"
"Why should I?" The purple-haired male snapped. "Why do you even care?" Tears flowed freely. "Nobody in this damn hell gives a shit about my ass!" Kokichi continued to cry.
"That's not true. We all care about you!"
"Give me legitimate answer." Kokichi glared at the robot. "Everybody here hates me. Shuichi refuses to talk to me. Kaito hates me. Maki hates me. Himiko hates me. Tsumugi refuses to come out of her dorm, especially while I'm still around." Kokichi paused. "And you, Kiibo. You're so nice and innocent, so you're just being nice to me. But deep down," The boy lifted his head and gave a glare that would send anyone shivers down their spines. "You hate me the most."
Kiibo froze. He was wrong. But how could he say it? "Why would you say such a thing?"
"I've insulted you, so many times. It'd only make sense. You avoided me."
It was true. He did avoid him. But, the more he saw the boy, the more he started to like the Supreme Leader.
Kiibo felt there was one way he could help Kokichi.
"Tell you what." The robot stood up. "To prove I do care about you," Kiibo outstretched his hand. "I'll take you to a place I know you'll love."
"You're lying..." But Kokichi took his hand anyway.
What happened wasn't what Kokichi was expecting. He expected to be thrown on the ground and laughed at. But instead, he was slung across Kiibo's back. His arms wrapped around the robot's neck and his legs wrapped around his waist. Kiibo's arms held on to Kokichi's legs.
"W-What are you...?" Kokichi's eyes sparkled at the sudden gesture.
Kiibo smiled at the boy's eyes. They resembled diamonds. Now that Kiibo thought about it, diamonds resembled stars, too.
Kiibo started to walk.
The soothing feeling of lying of a cold surface and moving up and down was enough to put Kokichi to sleep. The Supreme Leader could feel his eyelids grow heavy. He yawned, and Kiibo took notice.
"Sleepy? Try not to be. We still have a place to go." Kiibo chuckled. He never expected to be this close to the boy. The robot felt a surface lie down on his head. "You're not asleep, right?"
"N-no..." Kokichi yawned. "Close, though." Kiibo could feel a smile appear on Kokichi's face.
A couple minutes later, they arrived at a lab that was all too familiar.
"Hey, why're we at Miu's lab?" Kokichi glanced up at the doors.
"Miu had hacked into a machine that could change the weather outside. With my help, of course."
"Of course, she'd get the Ultimate Robot to help." Kokichi almost seemed annoyed. Why?
Kokichi yawned again when Kiibo set him down on the bed. "Let me get the machine right."
"What're you even doing? Why change the weather? It's almost nighttime." Kokchi watched as Kiibo pushed a couple of buttons. "
"I want to make you feel comfortable. So, I'm changing outside."
"Why?" Kokichi asked.
"You seem upset."
"Am not!"
"Yes you are. Your response confirmed it."
"Grr..." Kokchi growled and Kiibo shot a glare.
"What was that?"
"It wasn't at you. It was at myself for being a fucking idiot." The boy spoke in a monotone voice.
"You're not an idiot though."
"Yes I am."
Kiibo knew there was no convincing him. He finally got the outside he wanted.
"Let's go."
"Where?"
"Outside."
"YAY!" Kokichi leaped up and ran out the room. Kiibo followed suit.
Once they got outside, Kiibo saw Kokichi turn his head.
"What the hell is this?"
"A beach."
"Why?"
"You met your beloved DICE members here, right?"
"...Yes... how'd you remember? Why'd you remember?" Kokichi cocked an eyebrow.
"...I'm a robot. So information like that stays in data."
"Of course... dumbass." Kokchi mumbled.
"What's was that?"
"Nothing."
"Anyway, how're you feeling right now?"
"Weird. But... comfortable... in a way."
Kiibo walked towards Kokichi, who was sitting on the sand.
The boy turned towards the robot. "Why? Why'd you do this? You didn't have to."
"I... I care about you Kokichi. Even if it doesn't seem like it."
Kokichi's eyes widened. He stared at the wet sand in front of him.
They sat in silence. Then, Kiibo remembered something.
"Kokichi, you said there was another reason why you loved the beach. What was it?"
"My family. They took me and my brother to the beach a lot." Kokichi sighed. "I'll say this, I hate parking lots, planes, and ice-cream vans. When I was younger, I hated men in their early fifties or late forties."
"Why?"
Kokichi looked at Kiibo with cloudy eyes.
"My parents died in a plane crash and my brother went missing shortly after."
"Oh... that's... bad. I'm so sorry."
"You've barely heard anything." Kokichi shot the robot a glare.
"Tell me the story then."
Kokichi paused before looking back up. "Fine."
"One night it was me, my brother, and our friend. We were returning home and going across a parking lot. My brother excused himself and went to get some refreshments. It was me and our socially awkward friend. Now, she wasn't socially awkward around us." Kokichi flashed a smile. "But then her mother pulled up. It was her job to protect me. I was only nine. She was twelve. My brother was thirteen." Kokichi's smile faded. "That whore mother forced her in the car. Even after she said multiple times that she had to protect me. That bitch drove off and didn't care about me. So, our friend texted my brother to hurry because she was taken away."
"What happened after?" Kiibo asked.
"Do you really want to know?"
"Yes."
Kokichi sighed.
"If you're uncomfortable, then don't speak."
"I'm fine." The purple-haired make shrugged. "Anyway, this guy, who was forty-nine, showed up in an ice-cream truck. I was smart. So I refused. He kept urging me to take some. Naturally, I ran. But he caught me and locked me away."
"That... must've been horrible."
"It was." Kokichi rubbed his eyes. "Let me continue. I woke up and was forced to make cookies. I made them and used poison my brother gave me. Poisoned the guy and killed him. Then I left to a deserted home. Everything was nice and neat. So I trashed that hell hole. I found that my parents died from a shooting on a plane. Apparently, my brother was the only one who lived, aside from the killer. What luck, huh? He inherited all the money. We were born into a rich family. Never saw him again. I do know that he was put into a virtual killing game though."
"Can you describe him?"
"He was always looking for the bright side. The hope. His favorite breakfast were these donut things. His hair was a light blonde and always messy in a way. He had a long green coat and had an obsession with this one guy."
"You two don't sound like you looked similar."
"We didn't. We were brothers though."
"What about the friend?"
"She had split personalities. A serial killer was her other half."
"...Never saw either of them?"
"Not after that night."
Kiibo thought about the information given to him. He only stopped when he felt something hit his shoulder. The robot turned his head to see the Supreme Leader sleeping peacefully.
Kiibo smiled. He felt so ecstatic. But, he had to keep his cool. So he didn't wake the boy up. The robot carefully lifted the boy off the sand and walked to his own room. He set Kokichi down on his bed and walked to Kokichi's room. He found pajamas there and changed the purple-haired male's clothes. Kiibo plugged himself into the wall. But not before pecking Kokichi's forehead. To which the boy smiled with a blush.
When Kiibo woke, it was certainly alarming. He woke up to a warm sensation on his lips. His eyes widened when he saw Kokichi in front of him. Pressing his lips against Kiibo's. Kokichi parted and became even more flustered when he realized the robot had woken up.
"What...was that?" Kiibo absently asked.
"Um..." Kokichi sighed. "Thank you. For... last night. I've never talked to anyone about that. You're ... special."
Kiibo smiled. "You're welcome for it then."
Kokichi smiled and ran towards Kiibo. He kissed Kiibo again. Of course, Kiibo blushed.
"Love you." Kokichi smiled.
Kokichi opened his eyes to see Kiibo's reaction. Kiibo looked down and smiled.
"When the stars disappear, that's when I'll stop loving you."
Kokichi grinned and hugged the robot.
So... love can happen anywhere.
Even after they both died, they became diamonds within the sky. Joining their friends and continuing to be lovers.
Wonder if anyone can guess the brother and friend... it's really obvious though.
