A Tale of Sadness
"Here lays a brave and heroic defender of Narnia…" the faun droned on. A minotaur sniffled next to Elisa. Poor Jacques. Elisa sympathized. His death had been a tragedy that all true Narnians regretted. She remembered reading about the terrible news in the Beruna Gazette.
On the 12th day, in the month of Sapricorn, in the year of our King, Caspian the Tenth, Jacques Ferrari, died in a tragic accident. The young hero was crossing at Caspian and Swanwhite Street, when out of nowhere a speeding centaur caught the boy off guard. Jacques was half way across the street when he saw the centaur. The police refuse to reveals the law-breaker's name. The centaur trampled Jacques underneath his hooves. Jacques was seriously injured and rushed off the house of the healer, Madam Med, the best healer in all of Beruna. Sadly, he did not survive the night. He will be laid to rest on the cliffs of Cair Paravel on Sapricorn 15th. The public are welcome as Jacques is a well-known hero of the war. And so probably our greatest hero, besides our king and Aslan, has at last found his way into Aslan's country.
"The poor boy," a dryad muttered to Elisa. Elisa nodded. It was sad for Narnia to lose one of its greatest heroes. But he would always be remembered.
"And so we bare farewell to Jacques Ferrari, Narnia's hero."
The End
Author's note: So this is probably the shortest and absurdest Narnia stories you have ever read. Yes, I know it's really short but it was a joke for one of my friends. One day this week, my friends I were chatting, my friend Jake asked if I would write a story about him dying in Narnia. I asked him how he would like to die. His brother Caleb suggested he get run over by a centaur, because we are always joking that Jake got run over by a semi-truck. It was really funny, and so I wrote this story for him. I hope you laughed, cause I did! Oh, and by the way, I did realize that a ferrari is an Italian car but Jacques is a French name.
