This was written when I first started writing and is what I consider horrible. Read at your own risk.
I looked in my mailbox, eager for any letters. I took out four white envelopes, then a red one sealed with wax.
It looked pretty interesting compared to the others.
I went inside and put all of the envelopes down and opened the fancy one.
It was a letter from Princess Celestia!
How odd that the princess would sent a latter to me, ordinary and boring Octavia!
She wanted me to play the cello in front of loyalty! I was thrilled and was to perform in two weeks.
The letter said I could play any song I wanted.
That was relieving and took a lot of weight off my shoulders.
I decided I would sing too.
It was soon the day before my performance.
I was so nervous but excited too!
I grabbed my bag and got on the train.
I played my solo over in my head to pass the time to Canterlot.
I still had a few hours to spare when I got off of the train in Canterlot.
I went to my room Princess Celestia had booked for me in a tall tower.
I found Princess Celestia unlocking the door as I got to to top of the stairs.
"Hi, Princess," I said bowing.
"Hello, Octavia. Your room is ready."
"Thank you."
"You'll be playing your song to welcome Prince Tall Tale to Canterlot. Do you have a song prepared?"
"Yes, Princess," I replied.
"You may do as you please until it is time."
A question was forming in my mind as she turned away. "Am I the only one playing a song?"
I was too curious to pass the opportunity to ask up.
Princess Celestia looked back at me and smiled. "Yes."
"R-really? Thank you!"
The princess nodded and then flew off.
I walked around for a bit, gazing at the massive and towering buildings in awe.
I decided to shop to pass the time and had what I bought delivered to my room.
I struggled getting my cello case on my back and finally got it on after a few minutes.
I started walking to the castle when I got a funny feeling.
I felt like I was being followed so I turned around and saw a white unicorn with a blue mane and tail shrink back in the crowd.
As much as my cello was hurting my back, I started walking faster.
When I got to the castle I turned toward the sea of ponies everywhere and saw the unicorn nowhere.
I felt my muscles relax until I saw the unicorn by the castle gate as if she were waiting for me.
I quickly walked in, giving a small nod to the guards.
I looked back and saw the unicorn arguing with the guards and smirked.
They sure aren't letting you in anytime soon.
That thought left my head as I saw a flash of light by the guards then the unicorn by the staircase near me.
What is her deal? She sneaks in to get to me and yet I don't even know her!
She then got in my face and took my cello with her magic.
"Hey, give it back!" I yelled attempting to grab the case.
"I hate cello!" she screamed before opening the case and smashing my cello to pieces before running away and laughing like a maniac.
Tears came to my eyes then suddenly vanished as I realized I was laughing.
I was laughing at the stupid fiasco that just happened.
I put the pieces of my cello in the case then slid the case under the stairwell.
I'd get it fixed later.
For now, I had a song to sing.
