Ponta and Para Para

"What are you listening to, Fuji-senpai?"

Fuji had managed to drag a portable radio into the clubhouse without a teacher seeing and giving him detention a while ago—not to mention, somehow managed to evade Tezuka's eyes as well. Now, whenever Tezuka wasn't in the room, music could be heard throughout the clubhouse. However, today was a little different. Fuji brought one of his own CD's from home and upbeat dance and pop music was blasting throughout the clubhouse.

"Hm? What are you talking about, Echizen?"

Echizen watched as Eiji bounced around the clubhouse to the dance music and Oishi was murmuring softly to Kawamura that this was beginning to get bad and he might need to talk to Tezuka about having it removed, which might not result in a detention and extra cleaning duty for Fuji, but would certainly have the consequence of several hundred laps. Fuji ignored their chatter.

"HINOI Team."

Echizen paused for a moment.

"It sounds like para-para, " he muttered in the direction of the upbeat music, his eyebrow twitching in annoyance. "It's annoying, Fuji-senpai." Fuji smiled widely and turned off the radio, replaced it in his hiding spot, and straightened his jersey as he walked towards the door.

"But it's cute like you.

The weekend was wonderful.

On a slow, sleepy afternoon, Echizen lay on a park bench, dozing as clouds shadowed him in the blue sky above. It was a nice day out, and peaceful since he had to leave his house earlier. Nanjiroh was running around the house, panicking and chasing Karupin around the house because the cat had shredded one of his magazines with its claws. The ordeal was over when Karupin hid on top of a tall cabinet and hissed at anyone who came in the vicinity, but Nanjiroh was still in a bad mood.

He was dreadfully aware of that annoying music again. It kept him from resting with it's annoying, heavy beat; it reminded of him too much of how Fuji senpai was listening to something just like that at their last practice. And then, he was aware of the portable radio being held right next to his ear and a face frighteningly close to his. Echizen jumped out of his skin, much to Fuji's amusement. If he was dozing before, he was awake now.

"Fuji-senpai!" He jumped so much that he knocked over his half-full Ponta can that was on the edge of the bench. It spilled onto the ground, and his brow twitched, his face red with anger along with an evident frown.

"You look cute when you blush," Fuji teased, though he knew full well that Fuji was far from flustered. He turned off the music and mentioned casually, "Why we get some more Ponta together. It'll be my treat." His smile was simple; it indicated that he knew what Echizen's reaction would be. After tossing the empty can into a nearby garbage pan, he leaped up, all the anger evaporating from his face.

"Fine," He muttered, keeping himself calm and composed, though he couldn't hide a smirk from his face.

"Cute," Fuji chuckled, holding up his radio but leaving the music off, considering the way Echizen's brow twitched; he really hated para-para music, but if he could get that reaction from the little kouhai, he didn't mind listening to it.
