Today was the day.

He had agonized over today for 5 whole days. Had endured relentless torture for 5 days over today.

His birthday.

He didn't want to be here. He wanted to be at home in his room with his friends, not here. But he was here anyways, even though he didn't want to be, and his brother was here, too, with his friends, who acted like today was just another day.

"Wow, your brother is kind of a baby, isn't he?"

Ivan could only whimper as he cowered crying amongst the group of masked teenagers.

"It's hilarious," replied his brother.

Ivan wanted Fredbear. Where was Fredbear at? He was always around, but he wasn't. Maybe Fredbear had been scared away by his brother and friends?

"Why don't we help him get a closer look? He will love it!" his brother suggested.

Ivan quickly found his voice, choking out a trembling "No! Please!"

"Come on, guys!" egged his brother. "Let's give this little man a lift. He wants to get up close and personal!"

Ivan gave a hoarse squeak of distress as he was lifted by his arms, too frightened to face where the group was taking him. His weak limbs wriggled and kicked futilely in the grip of the determined, older children, and he only became more frantic as two ominous shadows came into view.

"No! I don't want to go!" Ivan cried.

"You heard the little man! He wants to get even closer!" his brother chuckled to his friends.

And so Ivan was dragged closer- closer to where the monsters were- until he was so close he could see their snapping jaws, their empty eyes, and their lifeless, choppy movements.

"Hey, guys, I think the little man said he wants to give Fredbear a big kiss!"

It didn't matter who was talking anymore. Whatever any of them said, they were all agreeing to do it. And there was nothing Ivan could do but kick and scream and cry and wish that he was at home with his friends and the real Fredbear- not this monstrous imposter.

"On three! One... Two..."

Ivan's eyes were wide as he scrambled to free himself from the monster's jaws, but his head was stuck, wedged in tight, and he could only stare out frightfully at the wall in front of him, and all he could hear was the deafening music, the rancorous laughter coming from the bullies below-

And a loud crunch.
