There he was. Exactly like in Alice's vision. Sitting under an oak-tree and eating an apple. He was even more beautiful in reality – silky black hair, bright emerald eyes and full red lips. His mate, at last. He could not hear the boy's mind, but to Edward it was not a problem, but a pleasant bonus.

In a few moments Edward would know his name and would find out the boy's reaction to the idea that he has a MATE. Alice's vision always went black just after Edward had approached the young man.

Edward thought that maybe he should wait and prepare his beloved for this, but he had waited so long, almost a century. His patience had ran out a long time ago.

He stepped into the clearing, not noticing a ray of sunshine hitting his skin.

His mate head shot up and their eyes met across the meadow. Edward imagined that his beautiful boy must also feel the connection between the two of them, because his eyes had suddenly widened.

His mate jumped up and whipped out a wooden stick out of his jeans pocket, pointed it at Edward, "Don't come any closer! I don't want any trouble!"

What a silly reaction, Edward shook his head with amusement.

"I cannot do that," he said, stepping closer. "You see, you are my M-"

"Diffindo! Incendio!"

Edward's head rolled on grass and burst into flames followed by a twitching corps. Moment later only ashes remained.

"I'm nobody's MEAL!"

Harry took his backpack and apparated home. What the world had come to! Nowhere safe to have a picnic, these days.
