Hello there! This is a quick one-shot for SilverFlameHaze
Before I left for almost a year, I promised a request to my 100th review.
And I was asked to do a Lelouch and C.C one-shot.
So here it is. Hope it doesn't suck.
I apologize for it being so short.
Disclaimer: Obviously I don't own Code Geass. I've only watched like the first two seasons (and that was years ago) so the characters may be OOC.
Delaying
Alone, I'm alone.
Completely alone.
.
.
.
Same old same old.
This is how it's always been, and this is all it will ever bring.
I sigh as I look around the room once more. It's the same as it was five minutes ago.
Empty, cold walls surround me as I sit on bed. The sheets are halfway on the floor and there's discarded trash littered all around me.
Nevertheless, I don't do anything about it. I never do.
I'm not sure how long I've been sitting here but I suddenly feel like I need to do something.
With a sigh, I look at the discarded pizza box to my side and wonder if I should order another one.
Perhaps.
I fall to my side and squeeze my stuffed friend tighter as I try to drive away that all too familiar feeling.
Alone, always alone.
Completely alone…
It's the fate I've been cursed with.
I should be used to it but I'm not.
Finally the feeling becomes too much and in a quick motion I rise to a sitting position once more. One hand clutches my stuffed toy as I reach for the phone with the other.
I know the pizza number by heart as I quickly dial it.
While the phone rings, I hear a distant noise.
My thumb quickly disconnects the call as I try to make out the sound.
Footsteps, I know that familiar sound.
Could it be that I'm imagining them?
No, the footsteps grow louder as they make their way to the door of the room.
There's no knock, as the door swiftly swings open.
"C.C, it is time for us to go," a voice calls out from the front of the door.
"Go?" I tilt my head questioningly, feigning ignorance, as if I'm not even sure whom I'm talking to.
"I don't have time for your games C.C," he says in a sharp voice, turning to leave in a swift motion. "Now come, I have something I need you to do for me."
"Very well," I say in a bored voice as I drag myself away from the bed.
I must be walking far too slow because in an instant he's gone. With quickened steps, I reach the door and turn, only to be met with fierce and determined eyes.
Lelouch calmly turns and continues on his way.
This time I make sure to keep up with his pace as I reach his side.
Alone, always alone.
It's the fate I've been dealt with.
At least, most of the time.
For now, the dark empty feeling is being kept at bay. As always, it will eventually come back and threaten to swallow me whole.
I know this, but I pay it no mind. For I will deal with it when the time comes.
Right now, I'm not alone. He is by her side, and that's all that matters.
For now.
So, what did you think?
This was suppose to be a general romance but I couldn't think of anything romantic for these two.
I though I was up for the challenge but this was all I could come up with. That's what I get for thinking I could write about a couple I know nothing about…
Sorry. Review if you want.
