A/N: What is with me and picking on all the hikaris like this? Heheh... Enjoy the madness ~
Disclaimer: Disclaimed.
(gone, it's all gonegonegone)
He's losing his mind, and he knows it.
(little things, all the little things are gone)
It started with small things. Forgetting tiny details.
(what do you live for when you cannot live?)
He would laugh it off, smile.
(voices echoing in abandoned attics)
But sometimes the smiles felt a little too fake, a little too real.
(spiders growing in your throat)
Voices came next.
(mask hits the floor, shatters into a million pieces)
Hallucinations.
(still whole in my eyes)
It's a game he can't win.
(the timer's ticking)
Every lie and secret will at one point be revealed.
(who will peel the paint?)
He wished it wasn't like this.
(you can scream, cry)
"I wish I could trust you-!"
(but no-one can hear you)
"Who are you talking to?"
(me)
"Nobody. It's... it's never anybody."
(too close, too close, they come too close)
They joke about insanity, about madness.
(do they not see it in your eyes?)
Every word makes you want to die inside.
(crimson lines on paper skin)
The bells are tolling everywhere, now.
(they toll for thee)
Alarms. Clocks. Minds. Hands.
(serpents strangling the words in your throat)
One day he's going to slip up.
(black ice, black luck)
And when he does -
(all eyes adjust to the darkness over time)
- and when he does -
(giggles like needles)
- he's not going to get back on his feet in time.
(crash through my warning signs)
.
It's over.
(two voices into one)
It's always been over.
(denial is such a delicious poison)
So what does he do?
(breathing is a challenge when you have no idea why you're doing it)
He parts his lips.
(pretty pink things)
Licks them.
(such a sick smile)
And laughs along.
(just another bell that only i can hear.)
...
