I wrote this for my sanity, my lack of time to do my sad winter homework, how short my break is, and how stressed out I am. I was listening to Forget December by Something Corporate.

Jack sat there, still as a rock.

There was a grave there, gray and bold in its color.

December 12th.

Jack stared, the snowing flying around him. It had just began snowing though and somehow, the ground was covered in a thin sheet of snow. His hands were cold, despite the white gloves. His heart was cold too, like stone.

Glen Baskerville. Died on December 12th.

Jack felt his eyes sting with tears. He wasn't going to let them fall. Not anymore. He forced a bitter smile upon his face; cheeks were red without warmth, heat. Glen tried to protect him when the coach went out of control. The cost: his own life. Not Jack's life, but Glen's. So he stares at the new grave, long past the hour of the funeral. He wants to stay here, to stay beside his best friend's side.

Jack is angry. Jack is angry because Glen knew he would die and Jack… He didn't know at all. Those words that burned into Jack's heart and mind…

"Forgive me, Jack… and forget," A hand caressing his cheek.

His hand punched the down below, now his hand is covered with dirt and snow. His tears pushed forward, falling down his cheeks and into the snow. There, Jack hung his head in shame and pain. Because it hurt some much, almost enough to kill him. And it angers him so much.

"I love you, Glen" Jack whispers.

"I LOVE YOU, GLEN!" Jack shouts.

And he knows that he can't hear him and the tears begin to slip even more because its true. But when he feels warmth surround his entire body, arms graciously wrapped around his hunched figure, he has to look up. Because the one person who was able to do that was Glen. And when he sees Glen's ghost, smiling so softly at him, he let the full force of his tears come. When he leans against Jack, his lips touching slightly against his ear, Jack thinks he hears something.

"I know," His voice is soft. Jack stops crying.

Jack looks up, once the ghost disappears in the air. His cheeks tug a bit, also making him smile. Because Jack forgot something, Jack forgot himself. Who he was…

I could forgive you, Glen, but I'll never forget you....
