The POV will be written at the top before every chapter. It will only go between two or three characters.

Marinette

I'd made it to class on time today, thankfully not getting scolded by my teacher. Alya was waiting for me promptly at our seat as always, a smile spread across her face when she saw me. I sat down, pulling my school-issued tablet from my bag. Alya and I had our small conversation as-per-usual of the "how was your weekend?", "did you see anyone?", etc. I hadn't seen anyone at all. I'd worked on my project for the school play. Thankfully, I was close to finishing up the dress they needed for Belle. Other than that, I was saving the day from another Akuma attack.

"Have you talked to Adrien at all, I guess his dad pulled another grounding on him for hanging out with Nino and getting caught in the middle of an Akuma attack," Alya started, with an annoyed tone in her sly voice. My face blushed a bright pink. I knew all about it, I saved him from the Akuma, Chat never showed up to help me. But it's not like I could tell her.

"Oh, no! Again? I really wish his dad wasn't so overprotective..." I commented, trying to act normal. Clumsy as I may be, I was getting tired of my little act about Adrien. He was always blowing me off, I'd kept on and on and he just would wave me off as a friend. As much as I'd tried, our freshman, sophomore, and junior years had passed with endless, and shameless, attempts at Adrien. Even with Chat persisting with me as Ladybug, I'd never given up. Luka had become my second best friend during the summer after freshman year. He's kind, funny, and just amazing. I told him everything, even Alya started to notice.

Our teacher pulled me from my thoughts by walking in and writing on the board, happily starting our first hour. As class drew on, I would look up designs for the new Jagged Stone outfit contest, fiddling through as rugged looking outfits as I could. With the style that Jagged has, I should honestly just ask Luka about this after class, since he was just in a different class than me. The bell rang abruptly, Alya whipping to look at me with a smirk on her face.

"What's up, Alya? Why the look?" I asked trying to be inconspicuous. She nodded towards the door where the teal tipped boy was waiting with a sweet smile across his lips. I'd gotten up quickly, walking over to Luka. I'd greeted him with a smile.

"How was the class? I see that Adrien isn't here, that...sucks." Luka started, I could tell he was annoyed with Adrien, I mean... Adrien started to ignore and treat me rudely the past year. I informed him of what Alya told me this morning. We'd stopped at a lunch table, setting our things down. He looked down at me smiling, caring turquoise eyes filling my heart.

"So I've been meaning to ask you, Marinette, about prom this year? If you were going with anyone?" Luka started, his cheeks growing red. I couldn't help but blush furiously myself, he was a very handsome boy, and I'd been growing a slight crush on him since we started to get closer. But for some reason, I was still hesitating due to Adrien. Luka had noticed my hesitation and shook his head with a weak laugh. "It's okay Marinette, just...let me know if you're answer is yes if Adrien doesn't come around..." he continued with a sad tone now sweeping through his normal, calm and husky voice. He'd grabbed his belongings off our usual lunch table and strolled off.

"Shoot," I whispered under my breath. Alya walked up beside me and apologized.

"I think it's time we have a girls day. To talk about Luka and Adrien."

"I know, after school. Hopefully, I can talk to Luka after as well..." I trailed off. I didn't eat lunch, I barely listened in class for the rest of the day, and as we were leaving, I never saw Luka once.

Alya and I walked to my home with the girls all gossiping and giggling. I couldn't get my mind off Luka at lunch, Adrien getting grounded, and Chat not coming to help. My mind had been a rollercoaster, and it didn't want to stop.

Once the hellos to my parents and the snack-grabbing from the kitchen, we all strolled our way into my room and piled in our normal circle. It all started off with small talk, how our weekends had been, how everyone's relationships were going if they were in one, etc.

"So, Marinette," Alya started. The girls turned to look at me. "About Adrien, something happened with his dad and him, he'll be returning to school, it'll be sooner when he does, but Nino said he's been acting weird."

"What do you mean weird?" Juleka asked first. Alya had a meek sigh and shrugged.

"I guess he's been acting like a jerk to everyone. And all he can talk about is you, Mari." Alya replied a bit hesitantly. My eyes widened as well as most of the others.

"Why Marinette all of the sudden, I thought he was after that Kagami girl," Alix commented. Everyone nodded.

"Did they break up?" Rose asked, a worried tone filling her voice. Mylien gave Rose a small, but quick, eyebrow raise.

Questions and answers. That's all that's flown for the next hour or so. Adrien has started to act weird after Ladybug escorted him home by herself. It was once he was inside, he'd messaged Nino a few hours later talking and asking about me. Which, of all things, was weird now. It didn't settle right, something just felt...off. His dad was more open to letting Adrien come back to school as long as I was there, and considering I've never missed a day, he'd never miss one after this. When Alya showed us the screenshots of Nino and Adriens conversations, it did seem off. It was all about me, my schedule, sitting next to me in class, and just, having "us" time soon. Whatever that meant.

"Marinette," the girls said at once, pulling me from my thoughts again. I apologized.

"What about Luka," Juleka finally asked. Juleka has known everything about both Luka and me, she was a very dear friend of mine and she is his sister. I could understand her curiosity, knowing that I'd started to grow feelings for Luka.

"What about Luka? He's amazing, funny, and he makes me feel like I'm safe. But Adrien used to make me feel all jumpy and sweet. It's not that I want Adrien anymore, I haven't been perusing him. I just don't want to hurt either of them." I answer truthfully. Honestly, I'd never been the person to be able to hurt anyone. I'd never even thought Adrien would show an interest in me. That's why I'd slowly started to move on.

"Well," Juleka started, Rose nodding at her to continue speaking. "He's got a huge crush on you. He's been waiting to talk to you about something." I had already guessed by now what it might be, my heart fluttered and my cheeks grew hot. The girls were excited to see that my feelings were mutual to Luka's. After everything Adrien had blindly done, they were happy I was now, "finding a new magnet". I giggled with the girls now, opening my phone and sending Luka a text to meet me on pont des arts.

Sorry this is kinda bad, it'll get better once the storyline really comes out. Luka's POV will be written more and more. I just thought I'd start off with Marinette to explain the beginning of the plot.
