Secret Love Discovered

It was Saturday night. Hermione spent every Saturday night the same. She was in the arms of the man she loved. They would share a few passionate kisses and talk. However, today they were just sitting in silence. Sometimes it was nice just to enjoy one another's company. He looked down at her and smiled. Hermione couldn't help but smile back. He had an intoxicating affect on her. Suddenly the clock struck nine. She frowned and whispered "I'll see you later." She hated having to leave, but there was no help for it.

"I know." he whispered back. She was overjoyed that he understood.

She left the library and returned to the Gryffindor common room. Ron was sitting in a chair looking extremely grim. "Where have you been?" he asked. He sounded livid.

Hermione didn't know why he was so angry. "The library." she replied uncertainly. This was unlike Ron.

"No more lies, Hermione. Where were you?" Ron demanded.

"Ron! I was at the library." she screeched indignantly. She now knew where his anger was coming from. He thought she was seeing someone behind his back. She was afraid that he actually knew something.

"Hermione, I'm not stupid." he said, showing Hermione how hurt he was with just his voice. "Who is he?" Ron asked lightly while holding up a stack of papers. Hermione knew what that was. A stack of "love letters". She thanked the gods he never signed his name. She couldn't bare Ron knowing who she cheated on him with. That might kill him.

"Ron, I'm sorry." Hermione whispered, truly meaning it. "I suppose you're dumping me?" she asked. She knew is was a stupid question, but it had just popped out.

"Yes." he answered. "You obviously don't want me!" Ron suddenly yelled savagely.

"Ron, I've hurt you, but I just don't love you like that. You are like a brother to me and I hope that you do not hate me. I am so sorry." Hermione said as calmly as she could.

"Whatever! I hope he's worth it." Ron hissed. He then turned around and ran up to the boys dormotories.

Hermione really did feel bad for Ron, but she could not help but feel relieved. Harry and her other friends would attempt to get a name out of her. They would be curious about who won her affection away from Ron. She sat and thought. Could they date publicly? Would he want to? Was it safe to? For once, Hermione has no answers. Nothing had prepared her for this. She had thought she loved Ron at first, but then he had come into her life. After just one week of learning sbout him showed her what love was. He made her feel things Ron never could. She had remained with Ron so that she didn't hurt him. She realized now what a stupid idea that was. Hermione decided she would remain with the love of her life whether he wanted a public relationship or not. Hermione went upstairs to write a note to her love.

My Dearest Love,

Meet me at the Astronomy Tower now! Something big has happened. This is urgent.

Yours Always,

Hermione

Hermione sent the note off and ran to the Astronomy tower. Once there she began to wait. As she waited she began to think about possible outcomes of this meeting. Her thoughts became scrambled and irrational. Could he want a public relationship? Would he be angry, excited, or something else? Hermione looked out at the night sky pensively. He walked in moments later. She looked into his captivating eyes and said "Hello Draco."
