The Dragon's Call
Mighty Camelot braced to fall
When came to Merlin, the Dragon's Call,
"Thy King will come
To lovers arms
To give him strength, 'gainst enemies all"
Evil Mordred brought his wrath
Upon his foes with sword and staff
Killing not just Knights
But civilians too,
Till through Camelot ran, a crimson bath
So Merlin sought those Arthur held dear
His noble wife Queen Guinevere ,
But there stood treacherous Lancelot
Who would betray his Lord,
Who would take his wife from here
As Arthur fought on castle's walls
Upon the Towers and in the halls
Unaware was he,
Of the parting of his bride
Hearing naught of Merlin's calls
But if not the Queen then who was she?
His King's true lover. Morgana? Could it be?
Could she be trusted?
Was she true?
Was it not her who let Mordred roam free?
So it fell to Merlin to confront the Lady
Morgana, the witch, whose thoughts grew shady
Good or evil
None could be sure
Her morals confused, her allegiance hazy
Then she set her mark in blood
Revealing her face from beneath the hood
Of deception and guile
She shown herself
An enemy of Camelot, and all of good
Arthur had Mordred at his knees
Hearing his enemy's cowardly pleas
When came the witch
With evil intent
To bring Arthur down with brutal ease
Yet Mordred and Morgana
Combined in their power
Failed to take down the King.
Bloodied but unbeaten
Arthur was away within the hour
His maidens had betrayed him
His Kingdoms hopes looked dim
He found his way
To the Dragon's cave
Where he sought his beloved Merlin
In the young wizards arms
He felt safe from all harm
Within the arms of his Merlin
Into his eyes he stared
There were for none whom he cared
More than his faithful Merlin
Their lips then meet as passions grow
Arthur's face begins to glow,
As Merlin's love erases all pain
Thoughts of pride emerge again
To bring about his enemies woe
With Merlin in his noble heart
King Arthur makes his bold depart
To bring down Mordred,
Morgana too
And give his land a grand new start
