It was the second day of Percy's sickness. Annabeth had stayed with him all day yesterday except for the two minutes she left him alone and he fell off a counter. It was early in the morning and she was sure he was still asleep, and she wanted to be there when he awoke so she could get anything he needed. Annabeth had borrowed some medicine from Laura, the Apollo kid that helped Percy yesterday, so that way she wouldn't have to leave his sight. She also tried her hand at making blue waffles for him and they didn't turn out too bad if she thought so herself!

She was nearing the cabin and opened the door, so happy to see her beautiful and caring-

"Oh...hi, Annabeth. I was just...helping Percy?"

The scene was something truly awkward. Grover and Percy were covered in blue goop and it was all over the cabin. Both of the boys were in nothing but their boxers and Annabeth walked inwith Grover's hands stuck in Percy's hair as he was trying to scrape the goop out. Percy's face was burning red and you could tell he didn't even have a lame excuse for this blue tornado disaster.

"What. Happened." Annabeth said through clenched teeth.

"Well, you see..." Her boyfriend-for-the-moment started, "Grover heard I was sick and came over last night when you left. So we kinda stayed up and played games. And then we were both really hungry around 2 a.m. and I thought I remembered for my mom's blue waffles. When we tried to make it though, well I'm not sure how we did it, but it kind of, er, exploded..."

Annabeth said nothing as she slowly raised the plate of the blue waffles now to the boys eye level and both of their eyes grew bigger at the sight.

"You boys. Are idiots. GO TAKE A SHOWER!" and with that both the boys ran off to their respective showers to get clean.

Annabeth sighed. Why did Percy have to be so restless and so stupid sometimes? Why couldn't he just sit still and let others take care of him? Now she had to start cleaning up all this goop because she certainly wasn't going to make her sick boyfriend clean it up. She grumpily got a never-before-used mop from the broom closet and some wash clothes and got on her hands and knees and started scraping. This stuff was like super glue!

Percy came out very quickly, probably using his powers to super clean himself. Annabeth speculated that Grover would take at least an hour to get it all off of him.

Percy walked over and saw a face he unfortunately recognized. The face of his girlfriend that showed she was truly mad. He knew he had made a big mess but it wasn't her job to clean it up. He commanded the water from the sink to come out and started super soaking the mess and left the water to the cleaning so Annabeth didn't have to.

Annabeth saw the water doing all the work and got up and put everything back, without even looking at Percy.

"I'm sorry, Annabeth."

She said nothing.

"Look I know it was a big mess but I'm cleaning it right now."

"That's not the point you Seaweed Brain. Why can't you just let others take care of you when you're sick? Why do you always think you have to do it yourself or that staying up all night with your friends will make it better?"

"You're right. I'm sorry."

"I certainly hope so. I hope you enjoy the blue waffles I made you." After that Annabeth walked out the door with a cloud of anger over her head, leaving Percy feeling guilty and even more sick. Sick with himself.

"Hey, where did your girlfriend go to?" Grover said as he walke into the spotless room.
