Hello. I am a Tetris block (or Tetromino if you wanna sound smart). I am the Tetromino that looks like an L. I've been doing my job for the past thirty-three years: a job consisting of rotating ninety degrees to the right and left, plopping myself on the heads of my fellow tetromino peers, and clearing lines.
My childhood? I was born in the summer of '61. My childhood was pretty nice. I had many friends such as Square Tetromino, T-Shaped Tetromino, and Backwards L Tetromino. I see them sometimes at work. I was top of my classes at Harvard for Tetrominoes in '83.
I began working in the video game business the following year. An aspiring game designer named Pajitnov recruiting geometric shapes to be in his new game. I came in, he wrote me into code, and put me into his game. And then, me and some other Tetrominoes were whisked off to some arcade with some of the other games of the day, like Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Galaga, etc. About five years later, we were put in some handheld gaming device: the "Gaming Boy", I think. In fact, our "Gaming Boy" counterparts were the most famous game on the handheld market: even more successful than that "PokeMan" game. As the years went, we got ported onto more and more devices. Our fame kept growing and growing. We had the video game industry in our hands. It's been great. Thanks for having me.
