A/N - This is a quick one-shot I threw together about what really happened in Ginny's room during dinner. (Mentioned in Chapter 2 - Realizations of I Never Stopped) I would recommend reading that before this. I made this just in case anyone wondered or cared what had actually happened that night.
As the rest of the table conversed and tried to catch up with Harry, Hermione's mind wandered. She stared blankly at the white wall behind Ron's head, who she was sitting across from and worried. She was worried about Ginny, and felt that she should probably go up and check on her, she hadn't come down for dinner.
Abruptly she stood up, everyone turned to face her, "I'm going upstairs to talk to Ginny," she said. She noticed as she said this, Harry perked up a bit. Hermione shook her head at him just and case and said, "Alone."
She wasn't sure if Ginny even wanted to talk to her let alone Harry. She excused herself and pushed in her chair before rushing up the staircase of the Burrow. She stood quietly outside of Ginny's room and pressed her ear to the door. She could here her inside crying. Although Ginny was one of her closest friends, she was thoroughly confused, shouldn't she be happy? Harry's back and he's alive, didn't they fancy each other?
Hermione sighed hopelessly, the only way to find out why Ginny was so upset, was by asking her, she knocked softly on the door and waited for a response, "Go away!" she heard Ginny call from inside her room, "Leave me alone!" cried Ginny.
"Gin, it's Hermione," she said, "If you don't let me in, I'm coming in myself," she said confidently, although to be completely honest, she didn't really want to face a mad Ginny. Hermione was scared of her. She had heard many stories from Ron, but she wasn't sure if they were true. Ginny probably didn't throw him off the roof when he was 5… Right? She took a deep breath, "Alright, I'm coming in," she warned. Hermione braced herself for anything that was to be thrown at her. Pillows, chairs, books. Even hexes. She grasped the shiny door handle and turned it, but it didn't budge, "Locked," she muttered. She pulled out her wand and then pointed it at the door handle, "Alohomora," she said confidently once more. The door popped open, unlocked from her spell. Hermione tentatively walked in, "Gin?" she asked.
"Go away!" Ginny shouted from under her covers.
"I will not!" Hermione snapped, "I am your best friend and you will tell me what's going on right now!" she insisted.
Ginny threw back her covers, her eyes red, "Don't make me hex you!" she warned reaching for her wand that was on a side was quicker, "Accio wand!" she said, summoning Ginny's wand into her hand, "Why you-" Ginny started.
Hermione looked her right in the eye, "I am not leaving until you tell me what's going on."
"Nothing's going on! Now give me back my bloody wand!" she screamed. Then she picked up a book and threw it hard at Hermione, it hit her shoulder and she winced.
"Hey! Don't throw stuff at me!" she shouted, another book came flying at her but this time she dodged it, "Fine! Take the bloody wand," she said throwing it on Ginny's bed, "But tonight I'm coming back, and I'll want some answers!" she warned backing out of the room quickly before Ginny could hex her. She sighed and trudged back down to the table, disappointment sketched on her face.
A/N - Sorry that that was so short and thrown together quickly, in 'I Never Stopped,' I'll try to make up for it with longer and better chapters. I'm really excited for when Harry finds out that Ginny is Teddy God-mum. Well, thanks for reading! Review as always please!
