As far as Mido Ban is concerned, he owes Kudo Himiko the protection he could not give Yamato.
As far as Kudo Himiko is concerned, Mido Ban owes her nothing and is an outright cocky, perverted man whom she does not want anything to do with.
As far as they are both concerned, Yamato is dead. Very, very dead.
As far as Kudo Yamato's spirit is concerned, they are both being complete idiots. That's why he also thinks that though Himiko is his kid sister and his gut tells him to haunt whoever is bold enough to court her they should end up together. And so after several moments of deliberation, he decides to do something about it.
