CH.1 A packet of Starburst Hard Candies
'Granger what are you eating?' asked Draco Malfoy, eyeing the food in her hand.
The girl turned around and looked Draco in the eyes. A placid smile played on her Cherry Red lips. Her big brown eyes lit up and Draco noted that her cheeks turned a slight pink before she talked to him.
'These Malfoy, are a candy. They come from The States where my Grandparents live. They sent them to me. They are called Starburst Hard Candies' explained Hermione
Draco looked at Hermione with cold steel gray eyes, the plucked a candy out of her hand. It was blue, to his surprise. He laughed silently to himself at the thought of this being a Ravenclaw candy. Pushing the Starburst into his mouth, he swirled it around. It was good, he was surprised. He watched as Hermione pulled out a yellow Starburst. Hufflepuff.
Hermione popped the yellow Starburst in her mouth and swirled it around just like Draco. Closing her eyes, Hermione let the lemon taste of the candy invade her mouth. She opened her eyes to see Dracos face inches from her.
'What do you need Malfoy?' asked Hermione
'Nothing Hermione, just wanted to say that you were pretty' quipped Draco
Turning around and walking off, Draco left a stunned Hermione behind him. She had just heard him say Hermione. In all the years that she had known him, he had never called her Hermione. Maybe it was the candy. Blowing him a kiss before she walked the other direction, Hermione watched him catch it. A smile played on his lips also.
