Six people Sirius thought, six people who he loved and who loved him back. There was James of course James he was his brother and his best friend after all they got into so much trouble together but they never abandoned each other. then there was peter poor scared peter, Sirius loved him as a friend and felt that peter loved him in his own way. then there was sweet Remus the one he had become an illegal animagi for he truly loved Remus and he knew without being told that Remus loved him as well. Then there was Lilly he loved her as a sister which meant he found her annoying at times but god forbid someone hurt her, poor bastard would have to deal with both him and James. he knew Lilly loved him in the way she rolled her eyes instead of scolding him when he did something stupid or broke a small rule and the way she played with his hair in calm moments in the common room before bed. And finally, there was fleamoth and Euphemia potter James parents. They loved Sirius as if he were their own son and for the first time he felt like he had a family that loved him. in every way but blood fleamouth and Euphemia potter where his mum and dad.
Then came sixth year when McGonigal had pulled James and Sirius into her office and told them that their parents were dead. Four people Sirius thought, now only four people in the world loved him. Him mum and dad were gone but he still had his friends. There were still four people he loved and who loved him.
Then Harry was born and the number was up to five. Sirius didn't think he ever loved anyone as much as he loved to harry and by the way harry always gurgled happily and was all smiles when Sirius came over told him that harry loved him to.
Now Sirius sat in a cell in Azkaban. Lilly and James where dead killed because peter betrayed them. It was all his fault because he had told James to make peter his secret keeper and now they were all dead. And harry He didn't know where harry was he probably never see him again. Soon Harry wouldn't remember him. And then there was Remus poor sweet Remus, Remus who probably thought him a traitor, Remus who for the first time in six years would have to face a full moon alone. So, this is how it stood now there was no one on earth who loved him. But there were two people still alive that Sirius loved Harry and Remus. even after twelve years in Azkaban the dementors had not taken, could not take from him. His love for James and Lilly his love for their son and his love for Remus.
