Star crossed lovers....only not

You see me

But I don't see you

You're living in the shadows

Too blind for me to see

I think of what we used to have

One person so in love with the other

You loved me with all of your heart

But I kept pushing you away

Not wanting to admit

That I felt the same way

As I look at you

About to die

I come to my senses

And tell you that I love you

But YOU were the one to push me away

You told me to go

But I wanted to stay

There was no way you should have had to do that alone

You were alone, after I left

You died alone

Now as the years pass

I want you more than ever

Every time I close my eyes

I see that day

So long ago

And then I remember how it ended

Why I am standing here

All because of you
