Chapter 1 Emily Potter
Emily Potter was twin sister to Harry Potter, the boy who lived. She was a pretty seventeen year old girl with elegant features. Throughout Emily's whole life she had stuck with Harry. She'd been with him living with the Dursleys. She'd been with him when he faced Voldemort in their first year and then Tom Riddle in the second. She had been with him through every near death adventure he got into. She was there with Harry when her godfather Sirius Black was killed when she was fifteen years old. This hadn't affected Emily much because she and Sirius weren't close at all. Ever since third year when he'd first laid eyes on Harry and realized he looked just like their father, James, Sirius never paid any attention to Emily except for the rare moment he'd stare at her hazel eyes. People told her they were just like James' eyes and the only feature Harry hadn't inherited from his father. Emily didn't have any particular features of her father or mother beside her eyes. She had waste length dark brown hair with a reddish tint, that same color so many muggles try to get with dye but can never make it look quite right.
Emily had followed her brother along with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger to search for horcruxes. Harry was very protective of Emily and had not wanted her to come along but Emily refused to return to school while her brother risked his life for the rest of the world while she was sitting in a classroom. She had nearly had to sneak her way with him until finally just before Bill Weasley's wedding he had conceded. He had realized she would have gone with or without his permission.
Now Emily was sitting on her watch while her three friends slept in their tent. She was also taking her turn wearing the horcrux so she was in an extra foul mood. As Emily sat there she couldn't help but grow even angrier at Voldemort for taking her parents away from her. She longed to be with her parents, to know them by their actions and personalities not just from what others told her. Emily also thought of the progress their group was making in finding the rest of the horcruxes. The four friends were growing more and more weary every day. They were still no closer at finding another horcrux as they'd been when they found the locket. They had no idea how they were going to destroy it either. Ron and Hermione had started up private whispered conversations when they thought nobody could hear them. Ron especially was growing worse; even more so when he had a turn wearing the locket. A fight would soon break out between all the friends. Emily hoped her brother wouldn't be the worst off after it because it seemed that everything happened to him. Voldemort had chosen Harry as the threat. Sirius had chosen Harry as his godson. Emily was just there as a prop. She didn't mind it much but sometimes it go on her nerves when people pointed it out.
Because Emily knew her brother had suffered so much, she did everything to make sure he wasn't in the line of fire every time even though it was mostly targeted towards him. She had stopped a couple of things getting to him that she knew would bother him. Finally Emily's shift was over and she woke Hermione up. She went into the tent and found her mat. She fell to sleep within seconds of her head hitting the pillow.
