The hero may find an interval of rest
on the island of the nymph,
forgetting comrades and ship and home,
Until, recalled to his great quest,
he puts again to the sea
Roof beams & dreams
When Thomas suffered bad dreams
He saw roof beams collapse at the seams
And crash down on his proof
That the square of the roof
Is the sum of the squares of its beams!
