Okay I felt like making a tribute to Kin. She was awesome and didn't deserve to die.
Disclaimer: I own Naruto. In my dreams.
A five year old girl sat in the shadows, quietly squeezing a soft toy rabbit to her chest. In
the room across the hall from her safe hiding place, she listened patiently to her parents as they
negotiated with a strange man. His skin was a ghastly white and his long ebony hair only made
his skin look paler. A few times she heard her name being mentioned, but was unable to decipher
any other words. Finally the girl's mother said, "All right, I'll go get her."
"Now you're sure this isn't a problem? You won't be wanting your daughter back any
time soon, will you?" the strange man asked.
"Of course not," her father said. He sounded confident and the girl began trembling in
fear. Her eyes widened and small tears formed in them. What was going on? Daddy wasn't going
to leave her with some stranger, was he? She hugged her rabbit tighter and listened intently as her
father continued, "It's been hard pretending to care for Kin all these years. The truth is, we never
wanted her from the start, but there wasn't a doctor that would give my wife an abortion. We did
consider killing her after she was born, but we're not cold hearted murderers!"
"I see. Well now that she knows the truth, come out Kin," said the stranger.
"What're you talking about? Kin is in her bed. I checked right before you came,
Orochimaru-sama."
"I'm a ninja," the man called Orochimaru replied. "I think I can sense the presence of a
mere child like her. Now come on, come out of hiding."
Kin wiped away the tears on the sleeve of her worn out nightgown. Her parents had
always seemed rather cold when they were with her. Now she knew why. There was no point in
hiding anymore, she would go with the strange man, because it would make them happy. That
was how she had always wanted to see them, happy and smiling, even for just a minute, because
because she had never, not once seen them smile truthfully.
Still clutching the stuffed rabbit– thought not as tightly as before– she trudged into room,
looking down sadly at the wooden floor.
The strange man kneeled down so he was closer to her height and calmly waited for her
to come to him. "There, there Kin, it won't be so bad. You'll become part of a village– a great
and powerful new village, run by me."
He firmly lifted her chin up so she was forced to look into his eyes. His snake-like,
mocking, evil eyes that she knew to hate by instinct. She squirmed a little bit but he used his free
arm to pull her closer to him, to give her a closer look into his evil eyes and surround her in his
aura. It was like torture to the five year old. Her grip on the soft pink rabbit slipped, and it fell to
the floor crumpled. "And you'll never be lonely," he continued, smiling softly, looking almost
like he was enjoying himself. "There are two other children with me, about your age."
Some time since Orochimaru started talking, Kin's parents had left for bed, and just now
Kin had noticed that she and this strange and creepy man were alone. Determined to have just a
little more fun, Orochimaru tenderly stroked her cheek and held her closer still to him. "Well Kin
it's time to go now."
Kin reached to grab her precious bunny, the only friend she had left in life, but the pale
skinned snake-man dragged her away roughly from it, separating her and her friend forever, and
Kin finally broke down and started to cry. Even living with parents who had only lied to her and
never loved her for a moment would have been better than this. Anything would have.
So this is my version of how Kin came to Orochimaru. God I hate him! Well if any
body actually read this to the end, this is the part where you review the story ; )
