In A Cold Sweat
I wake up in a cold sweat
On the floor of a decrepit hallway
In a castle I've somehow found myself in
I walk through these halls in a cold sweat
Strange occurrences happen all around me
The lantern I've discovered brings light to the darkness
For it is the only source I can bring with me
Unlike the stationary torches and candles located throughout the castle
I shudder in a cold sweat
For I learn secrets I may have never known about myself
Or must have forgotten somehow one way or another
I must kill a man in a cold sweat
Why? What has he done to me?
Is he too, in a cold sweat?
I flee from the monsters in a cold sweat
And the thing that seems to be following me
Lurking in the shadows, just waiting for me to slip up
I've found another in a cold sweat
Seeking to go where my supposed "intended victim" must go
So I free him from the shackles that bind him in a cold sweat
I've reached the end in a cold sweat
And now I must make a choice in a cold sweat
…
This was originally going to be a story, but I made it a poem instead. Several Amnesia stories I wanted to do will also be poems because I want to get more ideas done in a timely manner, which is why I'm going for this format instead of an original novelized tale.
Disclaimer: I don't own Amnesia: The Dark Descent; it's owned by Frictional Games.
