There were bad ideas and there were bad ideas.
And then, there were stupendously bad ideas.
Angel wasn't sure whose idea this was but when he found out, he might have to kick someone's ass.
"Oh, don't be such a grumpy puss." Buffy pursed her lips like a fish's mouth in an approximation, Angel guessed, of his glare. "This won't take long."
"Buffy." Seriously, she thought it wouldn't take long? They'd been standing here in the front of the store for forty-five minutes. He opened his mouth to remind her of that but she'd already swooped down with a cheerful squeal, snatching up yet another bottle of fingernail polish.
"This. This is perfect."
Angel bit his tongue rather than reminding Buffy she'd said that about the last three colors she'd picked up. And, even to his artist's eye, he couldn't see a difference between this particular shade of pink and the five Buffy had rejected.
Chirping her delight, Buffy started toward the counter, Angel thanking the Powers that Be that they could get out of the store soon and start patrolling.
"Wait!" Buffy frowned, holding the bottle up, her pout absolutely adorable – and completely dismaying. "I already have this color!"
Angel decided then and there, whatever vampires they came across this evening?
Were. All. His.
