Author's Note: Yes, I know it's really short but I was working on another story and I just sort of came up with this. It's not really a story but I like it, so I don't really care what you think. But if you like it to, you should leave a review and make my day. Thanks. :)
Disclaimer: If you recognize it, I don't own it, but I'm not happy about it.
They Lied
Lily Evans was a smart girl. Lily Evans was pretty and Lily Evans was confident, too. Lily Evans followed the rules. She did not have trouble with school work. She did not judge people on past mistakes they made. She did not stay up at night worrying. She did not hate herself for ever trusting that slimy git. She did not cry because she lost something she did not even know if she had in the first place. She did not go back on her word and she definitely did not worry about James Potter.
James Potter, however, was more than she was. James Potter was not only smart, good-looking and confident. James Potter was also athletic, funny, and carefree. James Potter broke the rules. He did not break because of one word. He did not shatter because of three. He did not sit at the top of the astronomy tower willing the wind to blow him away. He did not wake up covered in his own blood surrounded by empty fire whiskey bottles and not remember how he got there. He did not ditch his friends and he definitely did not cry himself to sleep because of a girl.
Lily Evans and James Potter did not love each other, nor did they hate each other. Lily Evans and James Potter did do one thing, though, they lied.
