Hattei-Chan: I was reading KakaIru, and I got to thinking, what if Iruka was on a mission instead? This what I came up with. I DON'T OWN NARUTO THE WONDERFUL MASASHI KISHIMOTO DOES!! Dedicated to Me, this is like a late present to myself :D

His Mission.

"Oh, so how long will you be gone Ru?" I knew what was going to happen, I didn't want him to leave. The last time he did he found me on the sofa, curled up and starving.

"A week or two. I will come back. It's only a D-rank mission." I nodded, I didn't want him to leave. I try to fight back the tears, but one fell on my cheek. I quickly wipe it away before he see's it.

"When do you leave?" I really didn't want to know, but I might as well find out and spend the time left with him.

"Dawn in three days." I sighed. Maybe if I ate loads I would be able to survive when he's goes. He put his warm hand on my cheek and kissed me softly. I looked into his chocolate brown eyes, they were filled with sadness. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me to the bedroom. I closed the door and turned of the lights.

The morning he left.

I could feel him getting out of bed. I heard the rustle of his clothes. I turned my head and looked out of the window, the sunset of Konoha was beautiful. I heard the door click, tears ran down my face. I knew what was going to happen. I stayed in bed. It was most likely I was not going to show up for Naruto's training. I decided to sleep.

Noon.

"KAKASHI-SENSEIIIII!!" Naruto was calling my name. but I cant get up. Not without Ru. I sighed went up to my window.

"Naruto, I'm Sick.." Naruto was staring at me. Oh great, I wasn't wearing my mask.

"Oh my god. If I was a girl I would so date you!" I shat myself then.

"Well its too bad I'm not straight… Or single." I smiled and he ran off. Most likely to tell Sasuke and Sakura. I couldn't be putting up with this.

6 days later.

"Kakashi, are you okay?" of coarse I'm not. I haven't ate since Iruka left.

"Yeah, I'm just fine." the hokage looked at me. "Why do ask?"

"Well, your paler than usual, really skinny, and you haven't been working as well as normal."

"Oh." how observant of you.

"Kakashi, I got a letter from the ANBU for you." she handed me a yellow envelope, it had Iruka's writing on it. I opened it to find a piece of paper.

"Dear 'Kashi,

I'm afraid I'm going to be a bit delayed. By another week . Sorry. X

Love Your Iruka. Xx"

A tear ran down my face. I ran home, I feel so weak. I opened the door, and left it open. Grabbed a pen and some paper. I started to write.

"Iruka,

This is what you do to me! When your gone, I can't eat, sleep or work. This is why I don't like you being away on missions, im sor--"

I collapsed, somehow, I knew I wasn't getting up again.
