I wrote this for my creative writing class in my sophomore year. The theme was Courage.

'This is it" Ron Weasley thought, Biting his nails nervously he followed his best friend, Harry Potter into the Forbidden Forest, 'Urgh, Follow the spiders, Hagrid's crazy, no wonder he got arrested' Ron continued to think rude thoughts like this to keep his mind off the fact that they were following the worst sort of creatures alive into a dark and creepy forest.
Ron suddenly felt Harry jolt to a stop, When he looked up Harry was panicked " There is something up ahead." Harry said sounding not entirely thrilled with Hagrid either. The boys listened for a moment to see if they could hear anything.
After a moment they heard a noise sounding like a vibration up a behind a tree a few steps ahead of them. Fang started to bark and Ron hyperveinilate and Harry was telling him to shut up. Ron tried to keep from freaking out and then a bright light suddenly appeared in front of him. After Ron and Harry's eyes blocked the light it dimmed and turned off. Harry pointed his wand at the unknown creature ahead and lit his wand up. Standing there to Harry and Rons utter shock was Mr. Weasley's Ford Angela. In the months it had been out here it looked wild. Ron voiced these thoughts
Harry beckoned Ron forward so they could continue 'Of course we have to follow they bloody, eight legged spiders that Hagrid just HAD to mention.' Ron then felt a pang of guilt as the image of Hermione came into his mind, frozen, like stone, just lying in the Hospital Wing up in the Castle
Ron felt his heart ache as he thought of Hermione " Who else am I going to argue with" Ron mumbled under his breath, hoping Harry didn't hear him. Ron didn't think he could miss Hermione this much and was confused as to why he did. Hermione usually got along with Harry so much better than him, and if Harry weren't here He and Hermione probably wouldn't even be friends.
Rons head snapped up startled out of his thoughts as Harry jumped ahead of him. Fang started to bark and Ron hyperveinilate and Harry was telling him to shut they knew what was happening they were being lifted up by something sharp, like a beak. Ron then felt something hairy brush against his leg and an horrible feeling erupted in the pit of his stomach. They were suddenly dropped on the ground, Harry quickly scrambled to his feet, while Ron remained frozen on the ground as he stared up at Aragog when he came out of his hole. He didn't hear the conversation between Harry and Aragog he was still frozen out of terror. Ron suddenly wish it were him petrified up in the hospital wing. Then an image of Hermione, Harry, and Him laughing at the end of last year entered his mind and from deep inside of Ron he felt his courage rise enough so he could get to his feet.
By then Ron had entered the conversation with Aragog and Harry just as Aragog gave his evil spider minions permission to eat them. They tried to get away from the spiders as the car came around into the clearing, so they jumped in and on the way out of the forest Ron thought of Hermione and how much he must care fore her to enter a forest full off spiders trying to eat them.
