Addison was just about to call it a night when there came a knock on the door of her hotel room. Not feeling the need to throw on the robe over her blue silk pajamas she got up and opened the door.
"Alex," was said in surprise at seeing the young intern standing before her, "What are you doing here?"
"I wasn't imagining it was I?"
Addison raised an elegant eyebrow at this question, "Imagining what?"
"The moment earlier…the moment."
Addison took in a breath and slowly let it out, "No, you weren't imagining it."
Alex nodded and licked his suddenly dry lips, "I didn't think so."
They stood staring at each other for another moment.
"What do we do now," Alex asked with slightly wide eyes, "Do we go back to work and pretend that the moment never happened or do we acknowledge the moment and move forward?"
"I'm not sure," Addison answered honestly, "I do know we shouldn't be discussing it in the hall. Come in."
Addison stepped back allowing Alex to enter her domain. Taking a deep breath he stepped across the threshold of the hotel room to the woman he had had a moment with earlier in the day, a woman if he were honest with himself he wanted as more than an object of desire. He wanted her for her and not just what she could offer to him.
Addison closed her door and turned to see Alex standing in the middle of her living area.
"I don't want to pretend that it never happened," Alex stated with some conviction, "I want you."
"You want me," Addison repeated
Alex was nodding, "I want you. All of you. Not just the great sex I'm sure we would have, but your sometimes-neurotic personality, your dry wit and amazingly sexy sense of fashion. I want your sometimes vicious moods and the need to be in control of your life because as of late you have had very little of that."
During this long-winded statement Alex had made his way closer to Addison and she out of some instinct had begun to back up until her back hit her door.
"I want you."
"I want you too," Addison found herself whispering
Alex grinned that cocky grin of his and leaned forward so that his lips were just brushing hers. They could feel the others warmth in their close proximity. They were hovering just millimeters from each others' lips until Alex moved that last distance and captured Addison's mouth in a beautifully soft, sensual kiss that left them both breathless.
"I think I should go now," Alex whispered against Addison's mouth
"Yes, I think that's a good idea."
Neither made any type of move to get Alex out of her apartment. Addison swooped in capturing Alex' lips in another kiss all the while trying to find the doorknob blindly with one hand. When her hand came into contact with it she turned it but found her own body to be in the way.
Grabbing a fistful of Alex' shirt she hauled him around til his back impacted the wall beside the door never her lips leaving his. She turned the knob opening the door and shoving Alex bodily out finally broke their kiss.
"Yes, good idea," Alex stated straightening himself out, "See you tomorrow."
Addison smiled, "Tomorrow."
Alex stepped in closer for a moment, "I still want all of you not just your body. Just so we're clear."
"We're clear," Addison smiled
"Good."
Alex gave Addison one last peck and was off leaving a grinning and suddenly more cheerful Addison Montgomery behind.
