My Reason

I'm falling

Almost literally

As the sun shines gracefully over my head.

I'm trying

To obtain a reason

To stay in this house,

This darkening Sohma house.

There is nothing to see here.

That is all I can obtain at the moment.

But maybe there is a brighter, stranger reason

That I was supposed to be here all along.

I'm falling,

So can you help off the ground?

Down I go

Dieing as I slip through the air.

I'm not a crier

But tears fall from my eyes because of this.

I don't have a reason,

But there is always you,

I guess.

Help me up,

As I sprawl my body across the floor.

I need a reason,

So can you be my reason,

That I am here with the people I hate?

My life is faltering before my eyes,

And soon I will be confined,

But every moment I am with you

Gives me a reason to forget.

My reason for falling is unclear,

But I think you could help me.

And be my reason.
