A/N:Incredibly short. I don't really care since I've been waiting for inspiration to come to me and, when it did, I just wrote it down.

KeithxMiraxAce. Besides... I needed something other than ShunxAlice in my archives...

I do not own Bakugan or any of the characters in its franchise.

He should have seen this coming. He should have seen the stupidity in everything the moment that he decided to bare his heart to her. He should have considered things through, but he didn't. Now he was suffering for it. He had an inkling feeling even before all of this. Something in the very depths of his gut seemed to scream and tell him to let her go. To stop bothering and just give up. That his time in the Resistance should have taught him better than to pursue something that he can never win over.

But he wasn't Dan and the notion of listening to his bowels is just absurd.

Now he was regretting it.

"You know Ace, Keith said that…"

It was always about him.

"Keith ate something weird yesterday."

Always.

"Keith would love this!"

"Do you think Keith'll like this?"

"I should ask Keith first."

It's always about Keith. Always about her damned brother. Ace couldn't figure out why she was going on ahead and putting up this stupid façade with him. Ace was never the oblivious one. No. Mira fit that role and it hurt because she fit it just perfectly. Day in, day out, there was absolutely not a single goddamned day that she didn't utter her own brother's name. Whether it had something to do with mundane everyday tasks or if it was about how worried she was that he'd left for Bakugan Interspace to help Marucho and the others.

It was absurd.

He wondered sometimes… Really wondered what it would be like if Mira loved him as much as she did Keith. It must be pleasant. Such a shame Keith himself couldn't see it. Couldn't feel just how much Mira, his own blood sister showered him in affection that could never even be described as brotherly. How she unmistakably kisses him on the lips whenever he left to do something important.

Keith was an idiot, so was Mira, and so was he.

Keith for not seeing just how unnatural his relationship with his sister was. Mira for her questionable obsession for her brother. And him, Ace, for clinging onto her while holding onto that one chance that she may get over her unnatural attraction towards her own brother.

Their relationship was like a vile and tragic sitcom that wasn't even funny to begin with.

And, somehow, Ace couldn't help but laugh at himself for it.
