Dick knew that Bruce was a play boy since the beginning. he knew since he was young. He had seen him bring women to the manor from business dinner and he had noticed also how he acted around Catwoman, not just her but also Joker.
He had noticed how he had interest in him as he grew up. Bruce was not a direct and clear man but Dick understood him better than anyone. he knew he was playboy and that he was cheating on him with many many people…
Dick has accepted it long ago.
He had accepted it because he felt that he himself was cheating on Bruce by loving another man. But his love was never returned. That man found a beautiful woman. Loved her. Married her.
And Dick's dreams shattered that day. The day Clark married Luis.
He remembered perfectly.
He remembered as he returned home with Bruce not saying a word, walking directly to his room and laying down on the bed not bothering to change. Bruce had entered and sat on the bed "I'm sorry" he had said and he buried his face in the pillow. Bruce repeated "I'm sorry"
"no Bruce… I am sorry" he said sitting up wiping his tears "this is not how you raised me. I should be stronger. It's just… I feel unworthy. I guess I'm not good enough for the Superman after all"
"no Dick. He's just Clark… Clark Kent when he's not Superman. Just a journalist or a photographer in some newspaper. But you Dick… you are admired by both the Batman-" he ran his hands through Dick's hair "and Bruce Wayne. The multi millionaire"
Dick stared at him "what should I do?"
"accept it Dick" he ran his finger across a tear stained face "accept it"
"I accept it"
And Bruce kissed him.
That was the night he lost his virginity.
Bruce was gentle, he was kind with him, he kissed him and touched him with tenderness he never knew that Bruce was capable of.
And he was vocal. He moaned, gasped and whimpered with every thrust imagining it was his beloved Clark.
He never had the mistake of calling Clark's name… but he knew that Bruce knew.
Life continued, Bruce slept with him, slept with others.
He knew Bruce did it… he accepted it.
Because deep down, he found that he really started to love Bruce and will not bear with another heart break if he suddenly disappeared and married another woman. This way was better….
He accepted it.
